Located between the two main highways linking Kuwait City to the south, the Mall of Kuwait in the Sabahiya area will have a massive retail area of 150,000 square meters. Designed to capture the imagination of the nation, it will be surrounded by gardens, water bodies and some of the most extensive leisure and dining facilities.

Hmmm..why do I find myself having doubts about this mall? is it because it reminds me of Souq Sharq?

I hope I’m wrong about it!

  2. I would be very interested in knowing WHICH anchor stores are planned for this center. In my Middle Eastern country, the reason most shopping centers are not more successful is that they are filled only with small boutique stores, from top to bottom. I have yet to see ANY anchor stores in any North African or Middle Eastern country I’ve been to. Please, which ones are planned to go it?

Ahmad I hope you’re wrong too! we can’t afford another soug sharg bilkuwait! 😛

elementaryteacher i don’t know which stores they’re planning on. but have you been to Kuwait? does debenhams in soug sharg count as an anchor store?

  4. GreY says:

Worlds best brands ? you mean to say NEXT , H&M , EXIT , River island ? Man ! like all the other malls this mall to will be infested with Al Shaya brands . In Kuwait if you have seen Marina Mall you have seen all ” world famous brands ” unless ‘the Mall of Kuwait itself deciedes not to allow “same shit , same smell, different mall” .

  5. Yousef says:

aren’t the malls the same all around the middle east? i mean its not just in kuwait..

  6. Yes, I have been to Kuwait, although only briefly. Actually I was in the airport for several hours, flying through on my way to India, just a few weeks before Saddam captured the hostages at the airport! When I read the news reports sitting in Thailand, I thought, “It could have been me!”
