blasha Good point. But IMO this song is about gathering the courage and facing your fears, its encouraging people to SAY what they have to say, against all odds. Its an open invitation for a change in the way we approach life and it’s obstacles.

and regarding the song, see what I wrote for blasha. o also I think the song is suggesting a change. He acknowledge how hard it is to make such a change by saying “even if your hands are shaking, and your faith is broken, even as the eyes are closing, do it with a heart wide open,” He knows its not going to be an easy job but you gotta do it, you owe it to yourself no matter how shattered your faith is.

adam I first heard it on Mayer’s blog. About that pictures, I don’t have control over it.. each user is assigned a picture randomly, but I think if you edit your nickname or email it will think you’re a new user and assign you another picture.

blasha Well.. I listened to Daughters. I like the acoustic feel, I like the mood it sets and I like his delivery, but then I read the lyrics and I couldn’t really like the song as a whole.

I love this song. I kept listening to it at work through the link on John Mayer’s blog. He’s a deep guy..a genuine artist and not just an entertaining performer. Madri I think this song is encouraging in general.
I love how he phrases “wasted honor”. In my opinion that refers to how we behave when we feel we’re behaving on behalf of our honor or pride when in fact it’s insecurity…like all that obsession with pride can be a waste of time.
I love John Mayer! His songs are all amazing. I bumped into him in Los Angeles a while back, and he was actually REALLY nice!
