Why are USWS trying their best to do a bad job?! today i found one more thing to add to their list of flaws. 9K2HN told me the other day that something was up with USWS’ exchange rates, so today when I was paying my bill I noticed my bill was $41 and when converted by them it was KD12.71.

I did the calculations and it turned out they’re using a rate of 0.31 for all of their exchanges!! Guys the exchange rate nowadays is 0.261! (check the pic above USD1 = KD0.261) waain ga3deeen?! mo chethy ashkara 3ad!

  1. […] Mishary Blogged about a good topic today on somecontrast.comHere’s a summary…. […]

  2. Linus says:

Thats Kuwait! And yeah, the dollar would fall even worst, thats what I beleive!
I think we are witnessing the fall of America now, too bad I’m still there 😛

  3. Mark says:

How did you know how much they were calculating the dollar? On the website when I go to pay my bill the price shows only in dollars and I think NBK do the conversion, are you trying to pay cash?

  4. Mishary says:

Mark first they display your bill in $$ which my case was $41 then they transfer you to K-net page with your bill but this time converted in KD which also in my case was KD12.7 divide 12.7/41 will give you the exchange rate which is 0.31.

  5. Technogal says:

I noticed the same thing long time ago, and when I called my bank to complain about the big difference in the exchange rate, they told me they got nothing to do with that. and USWS is the only one responsible for it!
And yes based on your bill which was 41$ ” with an amount of 12.71 KD in your bank statement”, it means they are using a rate of 0.31 exactly.
    41$/12.71KD = 3.225$
    1KD/3.225$ = 0.310 Fils
precisely they should only take an amount of 10.7KD for the 41$ since the exchange rate is 0.261. ya3ny they take 2 KD more, this is na9b!

  6. Mishary says:

Technogal, Walla ur right .. Elmeshkela laish they put the prices in $ then they converted into KD laish may7e6onha seda bel KD o khalas laish hal lafa el 6owela?

  7. Technogal says:

Mishary: el laf weldawaran hatha to gain more money from us! ya3ny 3la 7sab el customers them self!

  8. Mark says:

ok at first i thought this was USWS’s fault but now it looks like its NBK’s fault. I guess it depends on who is doing the conversion. If USWS is converting from dollars to dinars before you get to the NBK payment its their fault. If NBK is doing the conversion from dollars to dinars then its their fault.

  9. adam says:

NBK doesnt do the conversion, they simply receive amount. What USWS is doing is providing sum in dollars and then providing sum2 in kd to NBK

  10. Mishary says:

Mark whats the benefit of putting their prices in $$ ?? if their calculation of their packages are all in KD why are they using the $ here?

  11. adam says:

ok, i had a complete brain fart, and i dono why i put the name mark….. i think its cuz i was to focused on replying to u…(im the one that posted as mark lowercase, my bad)

  12. ROUDAN says:

FYI, actually the highest it reached was .26495, not .261.

  13. Mishary says:

ROUDAN Walla this what the software gives me .. any way thanks for the info o still ma3a el o.26495 nasabeeen ohma ! 😛

  14. ROUDAN says:

Your still right, actually i know the guys who own it, i’ll sue them for you 😉

  15. bo9agr says:

just wanted to say that many shipping companies here in Kuwait use the same rate for foreign currencies for day 10 of each month, bc Kuwait Central Bank issues a list of all currencies (146 country to be exact) at the 10th of each month, and chipping companies use that rate for the whole month.
