We went to Gruyère the other day. We go there mainly to indulge in cheese. They’re the number one source of the best cheese in switzerland and maybe all of europe. We go there prepared, we don’t eat anything heavy before heading to Gruyère. We order their raclette; a block of cheese they put under a some tiny cheese heater/griller (shown in the pictures), and their fondue which also is made of melted cheese. And for the dessert, we either order their hot chocolat viennois or their denmark icecream (I once ordered both and felt sick afterwards). Everything there is to die for. I’m gonna leave you now with the pics, 19 pics to be specific 😯

Gruyere: cheese addicts heaven…. and lactose intolerant hell 😉

i love the place… it is so peacful

You should visit Yvoire if you haven’t yet..!!! you’d love it…

on the way to Geneve from Evian, closer to the lac … it is a small village 3ala il bo7airah… they have those small shops that sell handmade stuff and they’ve got really good creperie there 😉
(plus a botanical garden: the village is known for its flowers btw)

try taking a road trip from Geneve towards lausanne, vevy, montreaux (i know my spelling is bad) and all the way till around the lac till you reach evian and then you’d get stuck in traffic 😉

i love road trips when we are there… and the best thing to do is get LOST ! 😉

btw… another recommendation: ANNCEY !!! A MUST (in a good weather though) and take the ferry ride… and let the ladies shop till they drop !
