Starbucks treats the walkers in Mishref

ANM took some pictures of a starbucks event taking place in Mishref’s pathway (What do they call it? in arabic it’s mamsha). The guy told her that they’re going to be in new a new place every week offering free coffees and stuff. Next week it’s somewhere in salmiyah.

Sounds to me like someone is trying to push caffeine into the kids, then again Starbucks is more of a ladies brand in Kuwait, compared to the other stores.
I do not like it one bit.

Offering stuff to people walking is a nice marketing move. But I wonder how effective. Who wants coffee after a long walk? And if it’s one of the colder drinks, aren’t they usually full of sugar which counteracts the losing weight aspect of walking? As for offering free stuff, do people want to carry even more things while they’re walking?
Still, I like that they’re doing something new. I hope it encourages other places to try harder to please customers.
