My friend bought his new E180 ego a few days ago from their airport branch. Here is what I know about it:

  • It’ll support the new 14.4 network speed.
  • It has 2 slots: 1 for the simcard and the other is for a mini SD card (up to 8 gb)
  • It costs KD45 if you already have a data line, and KD35 for the new subscribers.
  • It is much smaller and lighter than the one I’m using now (1st generation).
  • Better upload rate even on existing speeds.
  • It has a new revamped built-in software for both windows and Macs. Plug and play sort of thing. (Finally!)

Finally a plug & play software. It was a mess getting the Mac software from Zain when I first got my eGo a year ago. It’s nice seeing Zain finally giving attention to Mac users. :)

Come on . i just bought one last week. its small with the same specs… but looks different . how come ? the only difference that i can see is that the one i have dont bend like the one you have. so it will be easy to break

will ZAIN change it to me ? this is not fair …. !!

What’s the point of having a dashboard icon on the dock?

    6. Yousef says:

Abid not my laptop.. I don’t have one in mine though ;)

    7. Bo 7amaD says:

yousef, what is the monthly payment ? 35 to get the thing, and 35 for every month ?

    8. MacaholiQ8 says:

Most Mac users are complaining the built-in software support for Mac isn’t working and Zain tells them to take their Mac to their customer support center.

Khalid I have the OLD e-GO (the white and blue one) when it was still called MTC… and it did support Mac! (Still is :-P )
