The Kuwaiti Towers were under construction from 1971 till 1976. I found these pictures very interesting and really wish to see more of them if anyone have some.

Thanks Sulaiman

The three towers were built for multi-purpose operations. One, the needle shaped tower, provides electricity to the suburbs in Kuwait. The Second, middle, tower stores up to one million gallons of water.

The towers were designed by Sune Lindström and Malene Björn and were built by Energoprojekt, a company from Belgrade, Serbia.

Its sad how little innovation we have had in Kuwait for the past two decades in major projects. Everything was pushed through by the private sector these days such as the Free Zone idea and they still haven’t fixed the roads or a better way through! Very sad! They could easily make a new road through Kuwait University and open the way but they would never try for it!
