100 used words

Can you name them all? You’ve got 12 minutes to guess the 100 most frequently used words in the English language, as according to the Oxford English Dictionary. I get 57/100 in 12 mins without googling them and the funny thing I managed to get the top 14 words also.

Try it out HERE and post your score down 🙂

We need a Kuwaiti version of it 🙂

My friend owns a ‘Cafe & Restaurant’ place in the Free trade zone near Villa Moda, and the Place is called Centro Cafe. They recently started offering food on their menu, however, the menu isn’t officially printed yet, and they wanted to have some pictures taken of some of their dishes. I was asked along with my 2 friends HBZ and ½ Cream Milk to do a photoshoot for the menu. We agreed!

I’m going to share only some of the photos we took… Read the rest of this entry »

Nas is a new airlines company based in Saudi Arabia. I was onboard one of it’s flights not so long ago, and I was left with a real bad first impression. The plane made all sort of sounds throughout the flight, and the flight attendants had attitude problems. They were completely unprofessional.

I won’t use them for my future travels. If they don’t care to leave a good first impression considering they’re very new to the market, I won’t care to give them a second chance. Jazeera airways is much better anyway, even AlArabiya would be a better choice.

My friend bo9ale7 who is the marketing guy at Bubbles diving center called me one day and said they’re arranging for a diving trip to Jeddah, in a place called Al laith to be specific, and wanted to know if I’m in. I was very hesitant to go to Jeddah for 2 reasons, one being the place itself, Jeddah, Why on earth would any one want to go to Jeddah? I know Jeddah ‘3air, but still. Two, If I wanted to dive in places other than Kuwait, I’d go to Sharm Alshaikh! an obvious diving destination. Yeah so I was hesitant. I didn’t give him my answer till I learned that 3 of our mutual friends are going Read the rest of this entry »

Laughing Gas in Kuwait

My Mom just told me that her dentist told her they’ve ordered laughing gas (Nitrous oxide) and they’ll receive it soon.

It never occured to me to ask for this laughing gas as a form of anesthetic instead of needles. Is it available in Kuwait? My Mother’s doctor was excited about it when she was telling her.. Mom goes to a private clinic, not a well known one, so I’m not sure if they’re behind when it comes to this Gas, or is it because this Gas isn’t available/used in Kuwait.

Any idea? coz I’m sure gonna ask for it instead if it’s available.

Whats for dinner_1

My subject today is about a question common in each and every house, which is what’s for dinner? u r hungry and want to eat but u don’t want something too heavy neither too light, u think about ordering something and u get the usual replay from ur parents ” why do u have to order from restuarants when u have all what u want here at home! why do we buy all this food then! home made food is much healthier than the one u gonna order! (even if it was a salad u r ordering)” For more information about healthy supplements visit mysanantonio.com/.

I Went To 2010

The movie rocked. I don’t know why it got negative feedback from some our readers and from some bloggers coz I for one loved the movie and it totally met my expectations.

What were my expecations?

Earth destruction ✔
Huge effects ✔
Cheesiness to minimum ✔
Extremely good graphics ✔
Lots of Action Scenes ✔
Entertaining ✔

I got all my expectations checked!

Aside from the many goodbyes’s scenes, where everyone was saying their final farewells, which kind of dragged on for a while, I liked it a lot, and found it exactly how I wanted it to be.

One question remains though: With all the money they spend on movies each year researching, getting information from scientists, developing state of the art machines to make their movies as believable as possible.. Can’t they for ONCE get a decent arab guy to tell them how do we wear our Dishdashas and Ghetras!!!

They struck the moon with 2 objects, an empty rocket hull and a spacecraft, and in return they got their proof. Water was found on the moon in large amounts.

I like the image google has up for this event and how the word google is written in water. Creative people. Read some bits I selected from the article here:

Suddenly, the moon looks exciting again. It has lots of water, scientists said Friday — a thrilling discovery that sent a ripple of hope for a future astronaut outpost in a place that has always seemed barren and inhospitable.

Experts have long suspected there was water on the moon. Confirmation came from data churned up by two NASA spacecraft that intentionally slammed into a lunar crater last month.

“Indeed, yes, we found water. And we didn’t find just a little bit. We found a significant amount,” said Anthony Colaprete, lead scientist for the mission, holding up a white water bucket for emphasis.

The lunar crash kicked up at least 25 gallons and that’s only what scientists could see from the plumes of the impact, Colaprete said.

Astronaut Buzz Aldrin, who in 1969 made his historic Apollo 11 moonwalk with Neil Armstrong, was pleased to hear the latest discovery, but still believes the U.S. should focus on colonizing Mars.
“People will overreact to this news and say, `Let’s have a water rush to the moon,'” Aldrin said. “It doesn’t justify that.”

Hotpot is a newly launched home based business specializing in chocolate puddings. We received a package from the nice people at “Hotpot” and they wanted us to review it for them.

The package arrived looking unique, boxed in what looked like a small pizzabox and nicely wrapped, as the picture show above. Looked very nice. And the attention to little things.. I mean I don’t know much about wrapping, but this looked nice and it felt like a present. Silly, but I liked how it was presented.

There were four chocolate puddings in mini porcelain pots in the box, and they smelled real good. I went through the process of taking the photos as quickly as I could and then delved into it.

The verdict? Read the rest of this entry »

Key chain I hope this doesn't catch on with the guys 1

I know that big keychains are in among the girls, but girls do have big bags and stuff, and its part of their many other accessories that we don’t get. But we were pretty surprised to see a guy enter the diwaniya with such a big key chain! Look at the key at the end and how small it is by comparison! I even put a mobile phone and it still was dwarfed by that cable of a chain. I hope this doesn’t catch on with the guys..

On a more positive note, if you ever end up with such a key chain, you’ll sure never lose your keys again.

I’m back! I spent my little vacation at the red sea and I’m very annoyed that it ended! I spent the last few days at a place called Al leith, I don’t know how to spell it, but it’s 2 to 3 hours south of Jeddah by car, and we spent the whole 5 days on a yacht, very far away from land. With no mobile service and no internet. Yep. Secluded, no ringing, no buzzing and no nothing. just us, the sea, and… the sea. A Great fully loaded post is coming up soon inshallah, but right now I need to get some sleep.. my head is twirling and I feel like am still in the sea.

The video above is a one I shot during one of the dives. The corals and the visibility is amazing. it’s in a place called Canyon Reef, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. You guys wouldn’t believe how beautiful the place is!
