Got two questions for you guys and need your help because I’ve already did a search on Google and didn’t come up with anything, the questions are:

1. Can I redeem a UK iTune card if I’m signed in US store?

2. Can I merge two cards together? let’s say I got in the balance $10 and just bought $50 card, once its redeemed will my balance be $50 or $60?

UPDATE I:

Answers are:

1. No

2. Yes

So, I’m heading to Apple store to try to exchange it with anything else.

UPDATE II:

Just came from them and they’ve accept to exchange it. And I did exchange it with the MBP battery for Yousef’s laptop.

yeah I wish I checked on that before it happened to me. While in London, around 2 weeks ago, I got the UK store itunes card from HMV. I came to know that it could not be redeemed in a US store. HMVs policy for itune cards is that they are not refundable or exchangeable once sold, even if they were not scratched. It took alot of convinving to have them accept it in exchange of store credit. Spent alot of time in HMV that day thinking of what I can buy with 50 pounds, specially that I already did my movies/TV shows shopping :/

    1) Nope. Each store has it’s own specific card. In this case, the UK card will only work at the UK store.
    2) Yes, they will merge. It doesn’t make sense to erase your previous credit everytime you add new credit.

Btw, I know this is off topic. But is there any news regarding the opening of American Eagle?

  9. Dear Mr.Mishary,

Please be advised that you can spend your 10 bucks in US marketplace then switch to UK account if you have one already or simply create new one and redeem your UK account .. I guess there’s a way to change your main account country from US to UK through the iTunes App you may need to google it ..

Regarding the second Qs. I don’t think that you will be able to add the 50 POUNDS in UK marketplace to the 10 USD in US marketplace ..
Please re-check and provide me with your findings and inputs..

    Hope this help..

    Kind regards,
    Saad
