David Beckham spoke of his “dream come true” at Milan in a long interview with Sky Italia presenter Ilaria D’Amico.

“Without a doubt this is a dream come true,” he said of the move to the Rossoneri from LA Galaxy on loan until March 9.

“I am aware it’s a difficult situation, as I have been following Milan’s recent games closely. I could’ve played right away, but it is only normal that in a squad there are injuries and I can be among the replacements.

“I think this is an opportunity for me to play with Milan and share the success and history of this great side.

“It is also true that in a team like this you need to do your best and it’s only natural there would be pressure around me and the whole side, but people are different all over the world and in each country.

“I don’t know what the pressure will be like in Italy. I worked with Manchester United and all the pressure generated around that, the same happened in Madrid. I just want a good experience, to see what atmosphere there is in the stadium and that’ll give me real encouragement.”

“I’ll enjoy myself and all, but I will then return to Los Angeles,” said the midfielder when asked by D’Amico if he would stay for longer than three months.

“Victoria has always liked Milan as a city and comes here for the fashion week. We’re staying here for three months. That’s it.”

GUST is holding a carnival in it’s Mishref campus on the 17th and 18th of december. They have a lot of festivities planned for you guys. It’s not restricted to GUST students, everybody can attend and participate in this carnival, there are also a lot of good prizes that are up for grabs.

1980s: Iraq

CNN found that intervention is often weighed against political and economic costs.

Declassified U.S. government documents show that while Saddam Hussein was gassing Iraqi Kurds, the U.S. opposed punishing Iraq with a trade embargo because it was cultivating Iraq as an ally against Iran and as a market for U.S. farm exports.

According to Peter Galbraith, then an idealistic Senate staffer determined to stop Hussein from committing genocide, the Reagan administration “got carried away with their own propaganda. They began to believe that Saddam Hussein could be a reliable partner.”

We were in Marina crescent on thursday for the GulfRun event. There was a car show and a lot of really cool cars on display. I didn’t know it was an annual thing and that this year is it’s 4th.

“The GulfRun was first created in 2005 by a group of young Kuwaitis’ who wanted to practice car racing in a professional and secure environment. Three years later the GulfRun has evolved into an annual friendly racing competition. Under the guidance of professional-racers and instructors, racers are able to push their cars to the limits in a regulated and secured environment. At the Bahrain International Circuit, full safety will be emphasized as multiple instructors will be present along with a full safety staff, commonplace in F1 races.”

The skint superstar, 50, donned Islamic garb to pledge allegiance to the Koran in a ceremony at a pal’s mansion in Los Angeles, The Sun can reveal.

Jacko sat on the floor wearing a tiny hat after an Imam was summoned to officiate – days before the singer is due to appear at London’s High Court where he is being sued by an Arab sheik.

A source told last night how Jacko, brought up as a Jehovah’s Witness, decided to convert as he used a studio at the home of his chum to record a new album.

The star – whose hits include The Way You Make Me Feel – was spotted looking “a bit down” by a producer and a songwriter who had both embraced Islam.

My friend came across these fine actors in Soug Almubarakiya last week. They were shooting a scene there. I really wish I was there.. I still to this day get all nervous and in awe when I come across Kuwaiti actors of this caliber

This video may be a bit old but I keep going back to watch every now and then. This guy’s voice and his ability to change tones amazes me. Listen closely at 1:00. Absolutely amazing!

This sign was on a small one room building near where we stay in france. For years we’ve been passing by without paying much attention. A couple of years ago Mom started telling me about this guy, who turned to be a great french philosopher. Apparently he stayed in our area when he was young.

I just googled and read about him. He wrote many books. I read that he invented modern autobiographies. I skimmed through his Confessions book and the first thing he wrote was a bit of a turnoff:

“I HAVE begun on a work which is without precedent, whose accomplishment will have no imitator. I propose to set before my fellow-mortals a man in all the truth of nature; and this man shall be myself.”

No imitator, huh? I bet he’s turning in his grave with the debut of every new autobiography and reality show.

Then I read a line that made me laugh:

“I believe no individual of our kind ever possessed less natural vanity than myself.”

I’m sure when this last line is put in it’s context may come off less self-absorbed/conceited, but still I find it hard to accept that someone would say something like that about himself and still think he has low vanity..

I’ve been listening to this song, changes, from Will Young’s new album for the past couple of days and I can’t seem to get enough of it. I like how the lyrics are light and somewhat sad but then the song comes off happy and uplifting.

5 months ago I posted how it was easy to get an iTunes card off ebay, and till a couple of days ago it was the only way I could get an iTunes card. Well, the other day khalid made a comment on that post saying that he sell those cards.

I emailed him and learned that:

1-He sells iTunes gift cards and provide the cards via email.
2-Every $1 = 350 fils, which means a $10 iTunes card would cost 3.5kd and so on..
3-He’s got 2 bank accounts as a method of payment, meaning you deposit the card’s worth to his account on either Gulf Bank or NBK.
