Today me and my wife were going to Al Tilal complex for the new Armani Casa shop and found out that also Alfares will open soon there.

There is another ad made for the mall which I think has nothing to do with the mall, Cick Here if you wanna watch it.

There will be 7 levels in the 360° Mall, as stated on their website, Five above ground, one Lower Level, One Ground Floor.

The Mall should be done by the winter of 2008.

Remember my The New Cadillac Bag post? Well, now they’ve released another bag which carries the name of yet another car brand under GM, The Chevrolet bag. And YES its available in Kuwait! My wife told me that some places here in Kuwait are selling it. Amana don’t they look cheap? even the idea itself is weird. I think its only a matter of time before we start seeing bags like FORD, GMC… ect.

I went to the avenues mall the other day to buy a laptop bag & take some pictures of the flowers they had set up there. I took my camera with me and ended up taking zero pictures. It was way too crowded for a weekday’s morning! I felt too embarrassed to be taking photos while everybody’s watching! so the camera stayed in its bag and was only taken out for the pics in this post. BTW I just want to applaud the guy who was clicking away near starbucks.. everybody was staring, including me , as he sat there in the middle taking thousands of pictures. Can’t say I wasn’t envying him.

Anyways I’m digressing. This shop I’m posting about, Carbon Fiber, is in the Avenues (Duh) above Baroue and opposite Guess Kids. It has a branch in Kuwait Airport (Airport Mall). I loved that they had 2 of the best bag brands, JanSport and Eastpack. I also liked the big collection of backpacks and messenger bags.

They’re also selling clothes, but they’re way over priced.

The staff are really friendly and will help you go through everything. I know I did. I spent over 20 minutes going through the bags and trying them out (yes I brought my laptop with me). The Filipino guy who works there was very helpful and was trying out the bags himself. He was quite happy to be working there.. Actually, He was a bit too happy. I finally bought a JanSport laptop bag for my laptop. it comes with a 30 year warranty

I don’t know. The red ghetra is not red enough & I don’t wear plain white ghetras. I also think their logo on ghetras would look a bit tacky.

Just saw it on the Rachel Ray show. If you’re one of those people who love to take care of their purses and its cleanliness then this thing is for you. If you’re also worried about it getting stolen then this is a good investment too! (I’m aware that I sound like a commercial)

When Me and the Wifey first got married we got this amazing gift from our friend. She also gave us the M&Ms I once wrote about (she designed that box too). She’s always been very creative and good at designing stuff. And now, She decided to dedicate her time and her ability to create things into starting a business of her own.

One of her gifts to us.

She created her own business and called it Ibrah (means Needle). She parterned with a Kuwaiti online shopping site called PowderTalk. They agreed to sell her stuff to the public. You can find the site HERE.

Something worth noting is that she does these pillows on her own. She has no employees or other helpers. She designs them and makes them from a scratch. And from what I’ve noticed, her material and use of colors are quite unique and durable.

I think they were going for a traditional, straight up Kuwaiti feel with this Invitation.

For the Arabic-illiterate, They’re basically saying that the official opening of Villa Moda’s new Almanshar branch is going to be held on the 6th of April at 8 o’clock. The attendants should were the traditional Kuwaiti kaftan for women (dara3a) and Dishdashas for men. There will be also a tradtional musical acts performing for the audience.

Today me & my wife decided to go to Villa Moda Al-Manshar which is located in Al-Manshar mall in Fahaheel.

Its located at the end of the mall which is near Rotana Hotel.

Once i got in i grabbed my camera and started taking pictures. But suddenly they came to me and asked me to turn it off! So, all the pics below are spy pics Sorry if they are not clear enough

There is a flower section for a shop called Cozy Corner at the entrance.

If you can see above, basically the place consists of circles and each circle got its own brand. One of the circles is for DIGITS shop (its an apple computer shop).

The shop also got a second floor which is also for ladies!

There is a cafe too!

I just want to mention that this branch seems to be a little bit different from the other branches, it doesn’t have the major brands such as Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada or even Marni. But it’s worth going.

Did anyone notice these bags here in Kuwait? i’ve noticed them recently in many shapes and styles! My question is are these Authentic? and whats their relation with GM Cadillac cars? wayeeed gomt ashofhoom eb kel mokan!

I just did a quick search on amazon and found them under “Ashley M Cadillac” and they cost around KD10.
