This is a cake Mom ordered from a woman who bakes and sell her homemade cakes.

I thought the cake was nice and light. Others thought it was just an average but heavy cake. It tasted like a plain saralee cake (can be found in every co-op) filled with jam and whipped cream. The cream tasted nice and unique in my opinion. I haven’t tasted a whipping cream this nice in Kuwait before. The raspberry jam complemented the overall simplicity of the cake and made it feel like I was eating something healthy for a change. (I know jam is filled with sugar but it felt healthy!)

We went to Alwafra on friday where our friend rented horses for us to ride for an hour around the farm. As much as I don’t care for horses, I ended up having fun and the hour went by pretty quickly. Right after that we went to Alwafra’s veggies Market. It was more like the friday market where everything is being sold from animals to plants to veggies.

I’ll let the pictures speak for the rest of the post now.

It is a healthy juice bar where there are no sweeteners or sugars added. It’s all natural and it’s all being blended right in front of you. It’s got branches all over the UK and now open in Kuwait (soog sharq’s food court) and Dubai.

We received an email from the owner of Wok Master some time ago to try out the restaurant, and we kept postponing it till we finally decided to give it a try yesterday. Me, Mishary and INM tried so hard to find the place! We went up and down the street twice and had to call them once and then finally found it by accident.

Starbucks’ Christmas special is back. I tried it last year for the first time and I really liked it.. oh and I just love the thing they sprinkle on top. Extra sprinkles for me. Always extra sprinkles for me! :D

I read in Mark’s blog about Abdel Wahab restaurant which will be opening in place of Fuddruckers. As i was passing by I noticed it and took some pictures.

I went to Abdel Wahab restaurant when I was in lebanon and i enjoyed it.. I hope it will be just as good. Knowing my kuwaiti people, I probably wont get a chance to try it out till a good six months after the opening :)

The branch between AlFanar mall and AlBustan mall has car service now. Rejoice!

Yesterday when i was at my in law’s house, 9K2HN brought these mini cupcakes. At first I was thinking that Crumbs paid much attention to appearances and how to make tiny cupcakes and was skeptic about how’s the taste gonna live up to the presentation, but when I took a bite I was amazed at how tasty they were.

Yes its camels milk used in chocolates. Don’t ask why but Dubai decided to enter the chocolate world with a new idea based on camel’s milk. I think they got inspired by our song “Our camel lovely camel …”  if your interested, just click the link below to continue reading and also placing an order with them, and if not just stop here :)

We saw this guy next to his cart in Al Aali Mall in Bahrain and my friends told me that I have got to buy some before we return to Kuwait. The guy was so nice and fun to talk to (just like all the other Bahrainis) and when we asked to take pictures he didn’t mind at all.

We received an email from Khanfaroosh last week, it’s a home bakery that specializes in 2 types of Kuwaiti desserts: the traditional gers 3gaily and a cononut flavored one. They wanted to send us a sample to review.

Usually when a restaurant opens in Kuwait and is a franchise it becomes a hit for awhile and then deteriorates. Just like Nino and Entrocote of Alfanar. But when we went to Café de Paris in Albede3 last thursday, I was surprised with the improvement.

My wife was searching the net for a good chocolate cake to order and she came across Mark’s blog. He mentioned previously the Slider Station’s chocolate pudding. So yesterday Me, wife and INM decided to go there at night, we sat and ordered 3 chocolate pudding with vanilla ice cream, it took around 15 mins to be served. When it came it was EXTREMELY HOT! and it was a large portion for a one person’s. But it was simply AMAZING ! Raw3a ! I’m highly recommending it, especially for the chocolate lovers!

Sorry for the bad picture because it was so dark in there and i couldn’t even use my flash coz i dont want to burn the picture.. so this is the best i can do.

P.S. if the owner is reading please tell me what was the main ingredient.. is it toast ? I was told by someone that its made of cerelac.

My friend was in Avenues phase II and took the picture above. He said it looked like another big food court is about to be opened in phase II.

Thanks HKR
