attending-classes-at-bubbles-diving-center

I’ve been attending diving classes for the past 3 days at Bubbles diving center. I don’t know how my friend bo9ale7 convinced me to join, I’m not the sportish type; I never really think of ‘activity’ when considering an outing… coz well, let’s just say I’m more of a restaurants person :P But I wouldn’t have thought that I’d enjoy diving this much!

The diving lessons started on Monday and will be ending on Saturday. Over the last 2 days we were studying the basics of diving with Captain Abdulrahman AlSarheed over at Bubbles diving center. The classes were very informative, and have done a nice job preparing us for the real thing.

Today, the 3rd day into the course, we got to practice what we were taught. We went to a huge swimming pool in Al Araby club in AlMansouriya. The experience was magical. Going in with all those diving gears and breathing under water was one of the most special things I’ve done, ever.

I’m too tired to keep writing after the dip in the pool, but rest assured a full review of the experience and Bubbles diving center will be published once I get my Beginners License.

We went to Garoh island last weekend, it was my first time to go to Garoh, and let me tell you how would you feel if you ever went there:

1-On the way there and just before you get to the island, the sea will smell like you’re at a gas station. The sea reeks of gazoline. Big circles of transparent oils are floating everywhere. And just so you know, thats why it was called Garoh. Garoh is a word derived from Gar, which somehow meant Oil/Petrol long time ago.

Since summer have officially begun, the guys at our chalet inflated the Fly Fish and went on with their annual summer routine, which lasts through out the summer. The Fly Fish is basically 3 Bananas stuck together, and it flies when the boat pulling it goes fast enough.

I tried it for the first time today, and it beat all my expectations and more importantly my worries were subsided. it doesn’t strain your muscles, it doesn’t wear you down, and when it leaves the water and goes up in the air it isn’t as scary as it looks. It’s just awesome!

I should’ve posted this 3 days ago when my friend bo9ale7 first told me about this Diving center. My friend is totally obsessed with every thing adventurous, not that this thing is risky, well it is but thats beside the point. He took classes and started diving (Do you remember the Swimming with the sharks post?) and ever since all we hear is ‘Bo9ale7 na6ir ilsummer’ ‘bo9ale7 went to sharm alshaikh to dive in the red sea’. I think, and most of our friends also think that bo9ale7 was a mizligana in another life :P

Anyway. So Bubbles diving center are offering scuba diving trips and training courses to whoever is interested. They’re qualified to train the beginners all the way to the instructors. They’ve begun registering students for the diving courses and the first of their courses will start on the 3rd of May.

For more information call 24835228 or 99989020/30. You can also check out their forum at Bubbles Diving.

Um-mit3ib and 4thringroad have already posted about Bubbles diving center.

Thanks bo9ale7

football-directa

My friend and my roommate in college, who is a football fanatic, who made me cringe every time I hear the words ‘champions league,’ who hogged the TV every tuesday and wednesday to watch football matches, finally made the right decision and started a blog along with his friends dedicated solely to nothing else but.. Football!

For you all football fanatics Football Directa is the place to visit when you’re looking for news about your favorite team. Their site is very alive with updates around the hour with the kind of news you crave.

Drop by and check it out: FootBall Directa. It’ll be added to our blog roll as well.

In our last Bahrain trip my friends wanted to experience swimming with the dolphins. We went to this place where they have dolphin shows and stuff. My friends took their swimsuits with them and I took my camera.
