You remember when you’re playing NES classic Super Mario Bros. One of the things that you may still not have noticed about this classic is. The graphics for the bushes and clouds are the same, with different colors ONLY :)

Also, Bowser’s fireball is backwards!

Thanks Ahmad

The Classic Where’s Waldo? is now on the iPhone, it costs around KD0.500 and can be downloaded from the App Store. I have it on my iPhone and I think it’s a very good time waster.

Jigazo Puzzle

This special jigsaw puzzle is big right now in Japan, and they’re unlike anyone you’ve seen before. What make this one special is your ability to assemble the 300 pieces together in a way to create any face you want. Your face? your friends? Everything’s possible!

If you couldn’t do it, you just have to contact the company by sending them your picture and they send you the combination to assemble the pieces the right way. Apparently there is a number for each piece of the puzzle and therefor you can follow their combination to create your own portrait.

I was really a big fan of the classic real time strategy game Command & Conquer: Red Alert is released  to the iPhone. From the video above, it would appear to be a faithful re-working of the PC original.

Screen-shot-2009-11-02-at-8.05.10-AM-400x200

You can fight as the Allies or Soviets, through 12 combat levels in skirmish mode or on two battle maps. Upcoming updates will include free multiplayer over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and an Empire of the Sun expansion pack.

It going to cost you around KD3  iTunes link

Just found out that it’s released in Bahrain’s Duty Free and they sell it for KD 79 and available in black and white colors.

Update:

Thanks to the commenters, we now know that it’s available in Kuwait at both SONY and XCITE for KD 75-80.

Sneeze game

You have to sneeze and infect as many people as possible. You’ve got 1 shot at sneezing and the amount of people you should infect increase with every level you pass. I reached level 10 and couldn’t pass it. Play it HERE.

Gravity Master

I love this game. I’ve been playing it for over a year now, on and off. I should’ve memorized all the solutions by now, but the beauty of this game lie in it’s solutions; If you’re creative enough they’re practically endless.

My Nintendo Dsi_1

I used to buy every Nintendo game when ever they release something new, but once I was in collage and then started working, I lost interest with these types of games. And I was focused only on the consoles like N64, Game Cube and the Wii.

25-years-worth-of-tetris

Tetris celebrated it’s 25th years anniversary this week. What do you think of this game? I think it was brilliant and was destined to be a classic.

I remember the first time I played tetris was sometime in the winter of 1990, yep Kuwait was still invaded and we were in france visiting my aunt. I remember I got to play with my aunt’s gameboy and trying tetris for the first time. I was soooo taken away and just couldn’t believe how my luck sucked at the time coz I only discovered this game the day we were leaving france.

I then got another glimpse at this incredible game when we went to Bahrain, in ramadan of 1991, Kuwait was just freed by then. I remember one Kuwaiti girl on our block had the gameboy and we all played together so I was always asking her to play with her gameboy.

I remember I was jumping with joy after visiting my aunt in Kuwait for the first time right after the invasion, coz she had just bought me one from france! I couldn’t believe it lol! I remember that I got to boss my little brother around in order to let him play with my gameboy… well, I bossed him around till my parent got him later the game gear.

Update:

I realized that this was my second mention of the invasion time and it’s also of a happy memory, and that this could lead people who don’t know how old I am or even foreigners to believe that we and Kuwaitis in general weren’t caring enough about their country back then, and I could be misrepresenting Kuwaitis in general (some of Kuwait haters used to say that we were indifferent to that fact that our country was at war). So, just in case, I’d like to say that I was 7-8 years old back then, and thats why all of my memories of that time are happy ones. Sorry, I just had to mention that :)

a-new-slimmer-ps3

Engagdet posted yesterday that they got a hold of some leaked pictures that suggest the release of a newer and slimmer PS3. The news isn’t confirmed yet. They did the same with the PS2 and people, so I wouldn’t be surprised if this one turns out to be true and people fall head over heels over it too.

The ‘Great Kuwait Sunset Challenge‘ has been launched a few days ago by our fellow blogger, intlxpatr. If you have good sunset photos and you wanna participate in this challenge, you can do so by sending her an email and she’ll post your pictures and we’re all gonna vote, somehow, and she’ll decide which photographer has the best shots.

I’ve learned that photoshopping an image is considered cheating, and I also learned that I don’t have a single good sunset photo! except the one above, but that is photoshopped to death, so..

I will try and take some pictures of sunsets. You do so too!

For more information on the challenge or if you have a question, go to intlxpatr.
