An Australian woman often described as the world’s oldest blogger has died at the age of 108 after posting a final message about her ailing health but how she sang “a happy song, as I do every day.”Olive Riley died Saturday at a nursing home in New South Wales.
Riley posted more than 70 entries on her blog — or “blob” as she jokingly called it — since February 2007.
On the site, The Life of Riley, and in a series of videos post on YouTube, Riley mused on her day-to-day life. She also recounted living through two world wars and raising three children on her own while working as a cook and a bar maid.

Her Blog: THE LIFE OF RILEY.

Today i was checking ebay for an unlocked 3G iPhone, gelt yomken algah shay, and i was shocked that there is more than one! and you can choose if u want a white or black one. HERE is an example of what i found. i did some search and came up that in Italy there is a law that obliged Apple to legally unlock their iPhones. You can read more about it HERE. But guess what it gonna cost you.. KD370 for a legal unlocked iPhone :)

MBC+ is a newly launched channel by MBC in collaboration with Showtime and its going to be included in Showtime’s list of pay TV channels. I searched showtimearabia for more information but couldn’t find anything aside from this:

“MBC+ is a brand new pay-per-view channel exclusive to SHOWTIME customers, dedicated to top rated shows; it launches on July 1st with the popular Turkish drama series, dubbed in Arabic, Noor.”

Does this mark a new beginning for MBC where it’ll have its own bouquet of Pay TV channels? I don’t know, and neither do you. :P

Yesterday me, wife and 9K2HN went for lunch in Wasabi albede3 and I found out that they built a new private rooms with these style, I remember back when I was in Tokyo I used to eat on these style tables but the ONLY difference was that we sat on our knees “kanaat tethba7 men el 3awaar!” But with the Kuwaiti modifications they solved this problem by diggin the ground and adding some space to set as similar feel as sitting on a normal chair. ya3jebny el Kuwaiti thinking for satisfying their customers :) (el fekra kanat ena teg3ad 3ala erkabek o takel bs 3endena NO aham shay ra7at el 3ameel wohwa yakel!) :)

I happened to be in Geneve today and happened to remember that I wanted to take a look at the new iPhone which incidently was released today and I, most probably, would’ve taken it to the cashier and paid for it immediately, no matter how pricey the Les offres d’abonnement (subscription plans) were.

I entered the shop and went to the machine to take a number to wait inline, there weren’t much people in there and that was no surprise, coz the french and technology do not mix, its like mixing chocolate with cheese or socks with slippers or boxers with dishdashas (the latter can be possible at times). The machine had a piece of paper on it, and in big letters I saw the word iPhone. I managed to understand half of it and I learned that I should not take a piece of paper and wait inline, instead I should go directly to the iPhone employee. I looked around and sure enough there was a lady with many iPhone brochures in her hand hanging near the iPhone stand talking to some guy. I went to her and asked her if she spoke english and she did “Just a Littol.” She asked if i’m interested in buying one and I said yes, she then handed me a piece of paper to write my name down along with my number and address. I wished I haven’t asked her why, I wish I haven’t already saw the iPhone and played with it and saw it’s back and asked for the white version. She told me “we will put you in a list and then we will call you when we have more iPhones.” Again I wish I haven’t asked about the the waiting list either.. “over 530 people in the waiting list. just for this shop. other shops may have less people in the waiting list” she said, “maybe you wait for 1 month to buy the iPhone,” she concluded. On my way out, as i passed by the number-giving machine, I realized that the paper i read earlier is there to let us know that the iPhone is SOLD OUT and that if we want to put our names in the waiting list we shouldn’t take a number, instead go directly and talk to the iPhone lady.. (fe6een fe6een!)

And thats how my wish of iny a7ir Mishary and Hamad went down the drain. Just like that.

Appleinsider has a thread going on about how it sold out all through switzerland, and maybe even throughout europe.

All I ended up getting was this piece of information: 519 SFR (134KD) for the 8GB and 619 SFR (159KD) for the 16GB. It’s a 2 years plan but you can always throw the simcard away and pay nothing more than the price I just provided. And one more thing, the 3G iPhone Feels/looks Good.

I received an email today from Swisscom telling me the 3G iPhone is going to be released the day after tomorrow. I read their page and I think it says that I can’t buy one without subscribing with their service. How am I supposed to buy this thing without letting them charge my visa for 12 or 24 months? I know there must be a way but at the moment I just don’t get the whole thing. Read their subscription’s details HERE.

This is going to be my first ever iPhone. :D

Today when I wake up in the morning I found this sms:

“ASIA/AFRICA SAFARICOM LTD CONGRATULATES YOU, FOR WINNING: 50000 DOLLAS, FOR MORE DETAILS CALL +25472836XXXX OR +25472743XXXX SENDER: ASIA/AFRICA SAF.”

Now the spams are in the sms’s world too?! I thought it was only emails.

Today we received packages from Amazon and we found out that one of the packages contain this. I liked the idea. it basically says that if you have any old phone and you want to get rid of it just send it to them and they’re gonna forward it to the US soldiers so that they can call their families.

Here are the instructions above. If you want to send yours let me know first ;)

Thanks ANM

Apparently its not going to be so out of the question to buy a new and officially unlocked iphone in the US.

“Apple’s popular iPhone can be yours, no contract required. But there’s a catch — and a pricey one at that.

AT&T yesterday announced that it will offer the smartphone to people who want to use another carrier, starting at $599.

The iPhone 3G, scheduled for a July 11 release, will be available for $199 to new AT&T customers or existing customers eligible for an upgrade — under a two-year contract. The larger-capacity 16-gigabyte model will cost $299 under the same conditions.

For those looking to use another carrier, the 16-gigabyte version will cost $699.”

Ouch! $699 instead of $299 just to buy it without the AT&T contract!?

Thanks rejoys.

This is my favorite Chocolat Viennois in Kuwait I used to drink it in swiss, thanks to my wife she was the one who introduced me to it. The problem with this order is the availability, its only available in Paul Avenues, whenever I order it in Marina Mall’s branch they mix the cream with the hot chocolate and bring them as one cup. Which will be a traditional hot chocolate,I recommend trying it.

I think this is a good idea to get your car serviced and repaired while you’re at home, work or even somewhere else remote. Good idea.

I liked the idea esara7a i think I’m gonna give them a try.

Zain have reduced their MMS and Video call prices, they’re 50 Fils/MMS and 45 Fils/min for video calls now, however, the calls should be within Zain’s network. I think they are still highly priced.
