Few days ago my wife received her Nokia N810 from Amazon.com if you dont know whats Nokia 810 here are the specs.

YES walla it costs money ! Today i was checking my mobile bill on the net and i was wondering why is my minimum monthly bill is over KD50 ! NOTICE: i do not have any GPRS or calling package and even im not sending alot of sms.

So i figure it out and say lets check the international calling and here what i’ve got:

This is ONLY for 2007 .. So each year cost me around KD100 ONLY for calling YOUSEF BASHA !! and moreover you can add the calls that when he arrives to Kuwait plus the sms’s.

Yes its confirmed Apple will announce in the couple of days the new update which is v1.1.3 here are the new things:

Pros.

* Google Maps can now display the Hybrid map view
* You can now drag and drop application icons on your home screen.
* The home screen supports pagination.
* You can now add web bookmarks to your home screen .
* The ability to send an SMS message to multiple people.
* Google Maps application can now pinpoint your location using cell tower triangulation .

Cons.

* Will LOCK YOUR iPhone again !

* Cant be down graded to 1.1.2 or 1.1.1 to be unlocked.

* cant be activated for Installer.app so no hacked software in 1.1.3

The iPhone got 3G capability? I was just surfing through YouTube.com and found this guy showing his iPhone with the ability to connect to a 3G network! He’s saying that the 3G feature will be available with the next update, 1.1.3.

I finally bought it!!!

Its not what I originally wanted.. not the D40x (which apparently a little less featured than its competitor’s the Canon EOS 400D, A.K.A. Rebel xti).

I went to Jacky’s the electronic store in Emirates mall yesterday. its the official agent for Nikon’s cameras. I went there and annoyed the hell out of the sales person, I asked about everything, the warranty, the features, the free gifts and spent 20 minutes just bargaining with him and trying my best to lower the price. he won ofcourse…

Earlier I talked to Mishary and his brother about which camera should I go with, coz seriously I was torn and couldn’t make up my mind. Mishary was very straight forward “the canon has more features? go with it!”, INM on the other hand was like “you’ve spent months just researching the Nikon and trying it in stores, so you should go with it.. you obviously want it more”.

later when I bought it Mishary said “congratulations”, while INM said “WHY!!! I wanted you to buy the Nikon so I could buy the Canon!!”. . . . thanks a lot INM for the precious advice… NOT!

ultimately my thanks goes to Ahmad for his educated advice (even though he admitted his bias toward Canon himself) but I think I made the right choice

I played with it for hours. my first thoughts were “what have i gotten myself into!” but after the first hour I got used to it.. I still think there is a very LONG way for me and so many things to learn about my first DSLR! but I’m happy that I can finally begin the real learning process.

Yes you can now send MMS ONLY ((Not receiving)) its only on early stage. This application can be obtained by adding the repository http://modmyifone.com/installer.xml to your sources list, and then updating the refresh on installer.app.

Today i got a strange sms that after viewing it my sms aplication crashed ! I was thinking that “Okhhhh 6a7aw 3alainaa Apple eny emsawela unlock o bekharbona ley !” So, i called Hamad and he was very helpful and here are the instructions if ur iPhone got crashed.

You’ll need to delete the sms causing the crash. First activate ssh on the phone (it is activated by default if you’re using a hacked iPhone). Download a good database editor (mesasql). You’ll also need a free ftp-application (fugu) to acces the iPhone.
Check your IP address under general/wi-fi by clicking the blue button next to the network you’re connected to. Acces the iphone with fugu, user root password dottie. Locate the sms.db file, copy it to your computer (make a copy just in case)
and open it using mesasql. Find the table with the sms causing the crash (odd characters and numbers), delete it and overwrite the old db-file with the new one. Now everything should work as usual.

Dubai’s Dragon Mart, its 1.2 km long which makes it the largest trading hub for products from China outside the Chinese main land has already attracted huge numbers of visitors since opening its doors on December 7th 2004.

You can find everything you want and need in there. the things you find in there can be used to literally build a house and fill it up with all sorts of furniture and electronics.

Anyway, we love going to Dragon Mart because we never know what to expect next! there are always new and interesting things to be seen! for example, the last time I went there, I went with my old roommate (HI flan!!) and we bought us some tiny helicopters. they’re addictive! my other friend (INM ) bought a bag, a tiny tree and some other things (I forgot what else, wila chan fetha7ta!)

Now my iPhone interface is arabic also .. So now i can say my iPhone is FULLY arabic support.

Today i passed Zain branch and asked them about the new service they told me its the HSDPA there will be 2 version of it:

HSDPA 3.6 which will cost u 13 KD/Month.

HSDPA 7.2 which will cost u 27 KD/Month.

i think all the subscriptions are with unlimited download and must be at least 1 year.

Now my iphone finally can reads arabic sms .. without any introduction here r the steps:

1. From ur iPhone Safari go to: http://www.shahbic.com/iphone/ar.plist it will ask u if u want to install click YES.

2. Go to Installer program in ur iPhone, In localization section install Arabic System Fonts.

3. From ur iPhone Safari go to: http://playgphone.com/iPhone/repository.php

“NOTE: DONT FORGET the P in CAPS”

4. Go to Installer program in ur iPhone, In Utilities section install aSMS.

5. From ur iPhone Safari go to https://127.0.0.1

“NOTE: DONT FORGET the s after the http”
