My cousin was at Omnia Mall in Salmiya and he came across this Abercrombie shop. He told me that it’s not a part of the franchise, and he also mentioned that he had his doubts when it comes to the clothes, but he’s not sure.

Does any one know if the clothes are genuine or fake?

Just got SMS from friend telling me that Kuwait Towers on fire and the firemen are there right now. Any one can confirm it?

Kuwait Towers got evacuated right now and two persons got injured during the evacuation.

UPDATE II:

it was electric short circuit at the control room at the base of the water tank tower (the one with single sphere). There was no fire anywhere else.
The only problem there is now no electricity for the whole block .. even the nearby restaurants.

I was invited by friends the other day to go to Jaber stadium, to take pictures of the first match to take place there. Ofcourse it’s an unofficial match between friends, but nevertheless, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity.

The stadium is big and beautiful (I thought it would be bigger though), plenty of parking space and many gates to let the cars in, and many ticket kiosks scattered around the parking area. I think they did a good job avoiding future congestions.

Just got these pictures from BBM and they said that Mishref’s GUST caught on fire at 9:30 am this morning .. Does anyone know if it’s true?

Update:

Turned out that nothing is wrong with GUST but the Mosque behind it had caught fire. Hopefully they were able to contain it and no one got harmed.

According to Bu Rashed, Americana is going to reopen Wimpy fast food joints throughout Kuwait. It’s not comfirmed yet, but wouldn’t that be cool? I don’t remember wimpy in it’s prime but people say, including my father, that it was the IT place back in the day.

Word has it that a new Blackberry storm is going to be released. Mishary bought the older one, it didn’t last much with him, it sucked and he bought the new curve. I’ve head that the screen isn’t all that and although it’s a touch screen, it doesn’t function when it’s “touched” but has to be “clicked” to function.. Anyway.. The Storm 2 is said to be released in a month or 2 tops, so don’t go out and buy the older one just yet, no matter how alluring the touch screen may sound

According to BlackBerryOS forum moderator the BlackBerry Storm 2 could be out sooner than expected. Which is expected to be this June.

Engagdet posted yesterday that they got a hold of some leaked pictures that suggest the release of a newer and slimmer PS3. The news isn’t confirmed yet. They did the same with the PS2 and people, so I wouldn’t be surprised if this one turns out to be true and people fall head over heels over it too.

Just got some insider information that Zain will be introducing soon their new internet speed connection which doubles the current speed to 14.4 Mbps. It should give you an average download speed of 1800 kb/s which is more than double the speed of our current one, however it will be more expensive. They told me it will be in KD30’s range and the 7.2 Mbps will cost less but the speed will remain the same. I don’t have any idea if the 14.4 Mbps will be unlimited or limited in bandwidth.

I was told that the gas stations in Kuwait won’t be operating tomorrow due to a strike. I don’t have anymore info about this. We just filled up all of our cars’ tanks.

The strike was only in KNPC stations, and Mr. Solutions just said that it has ended coz the KNPC management agreed to give the union what they want.

As the topic said, 7asafa walla, it was really good policy. If no one know whats the policy is, then its simply that if you bought something from Amazon and its price on the site dropped within 30 days of your purchase then you could contact them and get a refund for the difference.

5 months ago I posted how it was easy to get an iTunes card off ebay, and till a couple of days ago it was the only way I could get an iTunes card. Well, the other day khalid made a comment on that post saying that he sell those cards.

I emailed him and learned that:

1-He sells iTunes gift cards and provide the cards via email.
2-Every $1 = 350 fils, which means a $10 iTunes card would cost 3.5kd and so on..
3-He’s got 2 bank accounts as a method of payment, meaning you deposit the card’s worth to his account on either Gulf Bank or NBK.

I took my Nintendo Wii to AlRehab in Hawally to solve the previously mentioned problem. I asked around till someone suggested trying a shop called The Japanese Corner “Alrukn alyabany.” The guy there said I need to upgrade “a6awwer” the console so it could play NTSC, PAL and DVDRs. He asked for 20kds for the chip he’s going to install, and we ended up agreeing on 18kd. 2 hours later the chip was installed.

The problem is partially solved now, Mario galaxy worked but Mario Kart didn’t. I’m going back to the shop to see what could be done.
