The Kuwaiti notes from dinars to twenties, enclosed and presented like checks for Eid elfitir (Real Cash). It would’ve been a hit in my opinion if it wasn’t for the Central Bank of Kuwait rejecting the idea. However I was told that even if this was made available, it would’ve been available to select clients in KFH, VIPs Altamayoz’s clients and such.. I was also told that quite a few people got their hands on these checks/3ayady before they were rejected by the Central Bank.

Pinkberry is opening another branch at the Avenues mall, near ikea. This one’s going to be a mini branch, a smaller one with no seating area, it’ll be for takeaways only. This is good considering the huge line we see every time we pass by.

The new restaurant Pizzetta is finally open, but from 1pm to 5pm only, it’s kind of a soft opening until they have all their papers ready to officially launch the restaurant.

My cousin was at Omnia Mall in Salmiya and he came across this Abercrombie shop. He told me that it’s not a part of the franchise, and he also mentioned that he had his doubts when it comes to the clothes, but he’s not sure.

Does any one know if the clothes are genuine or fake?

UPDATE:

Kuwait Towers got evacuated right now and two persons got injured during the evacuation.

UPDATE II:

it was electric short circuit at the control room at the base of the water tank tower (the one with single sphere). There was no fire anywhere else.
The only problem there is now no electricity for the whole block .. even the nearby restaurants.

I was invited by friends the other day to go to Jaber stadium, to take pictures of the first match to take place there. Ofcourse it’s an unofficial match between friends, but nevertheless, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity.

The stadium is big and beautiful (I thought it would be bigger though), plenty of parking space and many gates to let the cars in, and many ticket kiosks scattered around the parking area. I think they did a good job avoiding future congestions.

Update:

Turned out that nothing is wrong with GUST but the Mosque behind it had caught fire. Hopefully they were able to contain it and no one got harmed.

According to Bu Rashed, Americana is going to reopen Wimpy fast food joints throughout Kuwait. It’s not comfirmed yet, but wouldn’t that be cool? I don’t remember wimpy in it’s prime but people say, including my father, that it was the IT place back in the day.

Word has it that a new Blackberry storm is going to be released. Mishary bought the older one, it didn’t last much with him, it sucked and he bought the new curve. I’ve head that the screen isn’t all that and although it’s a touch screen, it doesn’t function when it’s “touched” but has to be “clicked” to function.. Anyway.. The Storm 2 is said to be released in a month or 2 tops, so don’t go out and buy the older one just yet, no matter how alluring the touch screen may sound
