This guy claims that he broke the record set by a woman using Samsung’s galaxy S just a few days ago when she typed the phrase below in less than 26 seconds. The new unofficial record was set using an iPhone in under 22 seconds.
The phrase is:
“the razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human”
I just tried and managed to write it in 51 seconds using an iPhone.
I saw this steak at sultan center last weekend and I was thinking of buying one. The box contains only 1 steak each steak is priced at KD8.5. The price and the packaging were tempting.. Has anyone tried them before?

Since we’re still in the summer season and many of the guys with me at work came up with different thoughts and ideas for there vocation, The most interesting idea I found for both couples/singles now a days is to go for a private pool villas same as the one in Maldives, Phuket … ect. But to have it very close to Kuwait such as Dubai or Bahrain or any GCC country. Some of the famous hotels in GCC countries who’s offering the private pool are:
Al Areen Palace & Spa, Bahrain (Ex Banyan Tree): This was a very good choice but its no longer belongs to Banyan Tree chain so you will loss all the benefits.
Banyan Tree Al Wadi, Ras Al Khaimah: Its a good choice but the only disadvantage thats you’re far from Dubai center so if you want to go for Dubai for some shopping you have to waste more than an hour for driving.
So guys do you recommend any other resorts that offer the same? or did you tried the above resorts before?
Yes, they’ve canceled it! without any introduction. They turned my credit card down coz it’s a French based credit card (I ordered from Apple France) so I changed it to a French based one and guess what? I was just sent an email telling me that my order was canceled due to multiple changes in the credit cards.
Here is the thing, I need an officially unlocked iPhone 4 at reasonable price. Anyone?
Have anyone tried this place? I did, twice, I liked the bread, pickles, sauce, cheese, veggies. But the meat needs serious improvement!
So far I tried the original (turkey) and the angus roast beef, everything in the sandwich was good except the meat itself. I feel like this place has a great sandwich waiting to be discovered! if you tried a real good one at this place, let us know.
You know how supermarkets operate, they bundle 2 items together and sell them for slightly less. Which works like a charm, and is a great marketing strategy. Well, a reader just sent us the picture above, in his case it was ‘buy 2 items for slightly more‘. I know the price difference isn’t an issue in this case, but I still find this pretty odd.
The thing is, this isn’t the first time I see something like that, my cousin and I were at Lulu’s a couple of weeks back, and the Rice price was confusing. You’d pay less if you bought two 5kg’s bags than buying a single 10kg’s bag. Am I missing something? wasn’t it always the other way around?
Why bundle two items together if they’re not a better deal? An even better question would be, why the increase in price?
A good Macbook Air offer caught my attention on an ad by Electrozan. As you can see on the right ad the Air is up for KD249, which was a great bargain. I called a friend who was interested in the Air and told him about the offer. But then I saw another ad today, the left one, with a much higher price, KD549. I don’t know if this was a typo or just an offer for an old Air that ended.
Don’t u feel that suddenly every one want to get white teeth? I know it’s a good thing and who wouldn’t want white teeth or whiter teeth in some cases. But I feel that it’s the new thing now. You hear about it everywhere and even see it on TV advertisements (which became 2 ads without me realizing at first!). And I can’t deny it, it does make the biggest difference in someone’s face and smile, so why not I guess.
There are some popular methods for example going to the dentist and having it professionally done or using whitestrips, and I think there are some teeth whitening pastes….I am sure that some of u are blessed with white teeth but my question is for normal people, did u try any of these methods? tell us ur experience and recommendations
My cousin was at Omnia Mall in Salmiya and he came across this Abercrombie shop. He told me that it’s not a part of the franchise, and he also mentioned that he had his doubts when it comes to the clothes, but he’s not sure.
Does any one know if the clothes are genuine or fake?
Me & Yousef got this email couple of times from this lady asking us to book her a table and for 6 other persons, Now the question is, Is there any restaurant called SOMEcontrast? because what i concluded from her several emails that SOMEcontrast’s restaurant is really good because she’s insisting on booking in that restaurant.
Here is the email:
“Dear Sirs,
Kindly call us asap as we are unable to contact you. Pls book 1 round table
for 7 person for dinner for tonight.
I’ve spent lots of years in college, I didn’t have it as smooth as other people did, mainly because I screwed up big time and neglected what should’ve been my main concern. I think it’s very normal to worry about these things a couple of days, a couple weeks, a couple of months after graduation… but not 2 years later.
Yesterday I had this recurring dream, I don’t know if you guys have dreams of this nature, where I’m 2 weeks away from my last day at school and I discover that there is this one course that I totally forgot about and that I haven’t attended any of it’s classes nor exams. The dream is so real that I wake up miserable in the midst of the night, and when I go back to sleep I continue that same dream again! These types of dreams happens at least once a month..
Someone I know had an accident the other day, He’s ok. And people have been repeating this one line a lot “The hell with the car, thank God he’s safe / 6iz bisayara ilmohim ohwa mafeeh shay”
I like having people say that, and I say that too sometimes, shows how much we care. But for argument’s sake, I’m gonna ask you this:
Don’t you think the person who is actually paying for the damages should be the only one using that phrase? And no one but that person should be allowed to say that?
Coz it doesn’t make sense, unless you’re going to say “Don’t worry about the car, I’m gonna buy you another one” only then you’re allowed to use that phrase, But till then, it should be restricted to parents and to whoever is actually paying.
PS: I use that phrase too (One of the many silly lines I hate to hear and use)
I don’t know who to blame, the envious countries claiming to be friends and allies only to jump and stab us from the back once they get a chance, or blame us, Kuwaitis and Kuwait as a nation and the way we “market” ourselves to the unfortunate countries around us, the countries which God did not bless with the fortune we have and enjoy.
Why are we so misrepresented? Someone needs to be pointed at and be blamed for that. In my opinion it’s not the people, coz the people helped till they grew skeptic with the amount of ungratefulness they saw and felt. Is it the government? Couldn’t they market Kuwait and shed a better light on the nation? I don’t know. It’s just frustrating.
I remember Mom telling me that we, Kuwaitis, since we got rich from the oil, we were always caring for other Muslim and Arab countries around us. Supporting them and being charitable towards them, and thats not just a move the governent is making for diplomatic purposes, but us the people too. My mother used to tell me how when she a little child in school, how everybody took it as a personal duty to fill all the little pigy bank (7a9ala) they used to hand out in schools whenever some country was in need. She remembers that she, even as a little child felt that it’s her duty to help, She used to fill up those 7a9alat every time, and it went without saying that every 7a9ala must be filled and handed back! clothes should be sent, blankets, tents, rugs, whatever those people needed, we must help. From Algeria’s days to Palestine to Somalia, Yemen..etc We always helped and helped a lot. Even I remeber how proud people were at my school when their name would be mentioned after handing back a full 7a9ala. Generation after generation we were taught to GIVE.
And now we here about iraqis accusing Kuwait of being greedy and “want to stir past conflicts”. And we have The Independent writing pieces about a “Stingy Kuwait”. Really? Are we really stingy? Were we ever that bad? Haven’t we done enough good deeds to shut all haters up? Yes we did, but it’s not marketed right. Or at least thats the only reason I could come up with.. Enlighten me if Ive missed something.
But for people to judge us because we still can’t forget that we were invaded (19 years today) and unwilling to give our right for reparation up.. I think it’s just a tad too much.
I’m not gonna read and edit the post coz I know I’m gonna have second thoughts and delete it.. so there.
I’ve always had this question in mind while traveling, and now since its travels time for most of us, please do tell how you deal with this issue:
While traveling, do you do your prayers as usual? Do you shorten and combine them (Jam3 o Qaser? Or does it depend on how long your stay abroad is?
To me, I’ve asked around a lot and came up with my own collective answer: I combine and shorten the prayers if the trip is for less than 10 days. If its more, I just combine them.
I Just got sms from 9K2HN telling me that Skype.com is no longer blocked by Fasttelco. Yet, I’ve checked with Zain, since it’s my ISP, and its still blocked. Can you fill us in if it’s working on other ISPs?
I’m looking for an Arabic keypad for my BlackBerry 8900, Does anyone know where I can find one in Kuwait, or even on the the net? The place where I get such things are out of stock, so do you know some guy or a shop selling BB’s arabic keypads?
