Yesterday I bought a digital iTunes card off ebay and got the code via email. I just went to the iTunes store, redeemed the card and started downloading songs legally! (for a change) it can’t get any easier than this! down with the US credit cards! Hello iTunes cards

Remember ages ago I posted about that basbosa lookalike? the “Baked With Love” post?

Here is the full, extra easy, recipe!

Stage 1

Ingredients for the topping (sheera)

-3/4 Cup of water.
-1/2 Cup of sugar.
-1/4 Tea Sp. Cardamom powder.
-1/4 Tea Sp. Saffron.

Bring the water to boil, add the other ingredients. mix well until the sugar dissolves. keep aside to cool.

Stage 2

Ingredients:

-2 Lebanese Bread. (its the white bread from Kuwait flour Mills & Bakeries Co).
-1/2 a cup of sugar.
-3/4 cup of milk.
-3/4 cup corn oil.
-3 Eggs.
-1 Tea Sp. Baking powder.
-1/2 Tea Sp. Cardamom powder.
-1/2 Tea Sp. Saffron.
-1/4 Tea Sp. Salt.

Put them all in a blender.

Saffron and Cardamom.

The Baking Powder

Hmm.. maybe some more Saffron.

Mix well then pour it into this baking dish (thank you dots…)

Decorate with some nuts (Skippable)

Pop it in the oven for 30 minutes on 350 degrees. If its an electric oven then set it to 180 degrees. 

Once its done, take it out, pour the cold topping (sheera) while the cake is still hot. And Enjoy it!

Note: Don’t let the lebanese bread deceive you, you won’t believe how good it tastes

Just saw it on the Rachel Ray show. If you’re one of those people who love to take care of their purses and its cleanliness then this thing is for you. If you’re also worried about it getting stolen then this is a good investment too! (I’m aware that I sound like a commercial)

Yesterday Me and INM went to Marina Crescent to eat breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien. The weather at first was a bit hot for INM’s taste (I was dying but kept a straight face coz i wanted to sit outside). INM suggested that we change our table, so we went and sat in a shady area, and thank God we did! The weather was absolutely amazing under shades! There was just the right amount of humidity + sun + breeze, to make us comfortable while eating our breakfast Brunch Lunch!

I returned the Croissant after taking the first bite coz they heated it up in the microwave without asking!

Birds were everywhere and INM started feeding them (He ate half of his omelette and gave the other half to the birds. He fed the birds eggs lol)

I really recommend going out in the mornings, I mean actually being out to enjoy whats left of our decent weather, coz you’ll find yourself struggling for air in no time. kho t3arfon 7arna may’3ashmir.

When Me and the Wifey first got married we got this amazing gift from our friend. She also gave us the M&Ms I once wrote about (she designed that box too). She’s always been very creative and good at designing stuff. And now, She decided to dedicate her time and her ability to create things into starting a business of her own.

One of her gifts to us.

She created her own business and called it Ibrah (means Needle). She parterned with a Kuwaiti online shopping site called PowderTalk. They agreed to sell her stuff to the public. You can find the site HERE.

Something worth noting is that she does these pillows on her own. She has no employees or other helpers. She designs them and makes them from a scratch. And from what I’ve noticed, her material and use of colors are quite unique and durable.

I ordered a 4 GB Kingston Ram for my Macbook pro off amazon.com. I went to Youtube and looked around for an easy installation guide and found a good one, I won’t be showing that video in here, Instead I’m doing my own stepbystep post

First thing first, Go to whatever site you like to order your desired RAM. Crucial, OWC & Newegg are all good sites, but unfortunately they were a big pain when it came to placing my order. They emailed me asking for a copy of my driver’s license and my (late) visa card. I ignored them and went to amazon and ordered my RAM from kingston. Windows users, there is a good Kingston Helper in there to help you find the suitable RAM for your PCs.

Now lets get to business. make sure you have a tiny philips (cross) screw driver. and i mean tiny!

Flip the laptop and remove the battery.

Now take the screw driver and start undoing the screws. becareful you don’t want to lose any of those tiny things.

Now remove the lid

There are tiny little clips on the left and right holding the RAM down. press them outward, away from the memory to release them.

Once you do so they’ll stick out. Remove them and place your new RAM. Press them down hard and you hear this little “tikk.” (anything other than a little tick means you broke your RAM)

Close the lid and put the screws back. And You’re Done!!!

*Now its just plain bragging*

The RAM was $115 when I bought it, now they’re selling it for $95, Link.

I’m having a ball right now. Mariah’s (technically) upcoming album finally leaked to the internet! Been waiting a long time for it. Its her longest time off between albums, she used to crank out album after album each year of the 90’s but now, its been 3 years since her last one! (not bad when compared to other artists. for example Lauren Hill is yet to release a real studio album and its been 9 years since her last one. Thank God I’m not a big fan of hers).

In E=MC² Mariah lets loose and stop worrying about sounding perfect and concentrate on delivering the emotional punch. When she’s singing about having fun, the bass is thumping. When she’s singing about love, she’s emotionally charged and when she’s singing about forgiveness and letting go, she takes it to church.

I’m loving the album. *shocker*

A few days ago Me, Bashar and 9K2HN decided to go to Dalag Es’hail Restaurant/Cafe which is located in Souq Almubarkiya to have something to eat. They have amazing Grills by the way. Anyway, after we finished 9K2HN suggested to have a look at a shop that specialized in…? Guess what?! Tester Perfumes!

The shop offers two kinds of perfumes:

• Knockoff Perfumes.
• Authentic Tester Perfumes. (Just want to mention that the tester perfume will last much longer than the normal ones, Thats why I prefer them).

The price range for the Knockoff Perfumes was about KD3 – KD6, However the testers were around KD7.5 – KD10.

The only problem with these testers is that they do not come with their original box. For me thats not a big deal!

A few days ago i received my Time Capsule, the 500GB version. it was supposed to be shipped at the end of Feb. but due to some version update Apple delayed it till the end of March.

Whats in the box:

• Time Capsule.
• Power Cable.
• Manual.
• Installation CD.

  

  I thought it would fit nicely on top of my Mac Mini, but turned out its a lot wider & thinner. but it looks sexy!

  Straight to the point

  Pros:

  • wireless access 24/7 to your storage people! this is soo cool! Im backing up my mac & vista wirelessly!
  • i connected it with my Zain router, so now it acts as my storage PLUS internet. The fact that its Wireless N is making it a very good access point.
  • Its Sexy! its an apple product! yes im considering apple a plus!

    Cons:

    • Syncing. It takes ages to sync wirelessly. backing up my MBP took around 8-10 Hours.

      The 500GB costs KD80 & the 1TB costs KD133.

      I give it a 4 Out of 5.

Le Pain Quotidien, to many its just another cafe, But to me, its the home of my favorite egg benedict! Whenever I’m in the mood for a good breakfast and I happen to be able to get up in time, I go there and have one of the best breakfasts in Kuwait.

Last thursday was a great day for having breakfasts outdoors. We went to Le Pain Quotidien, Marina Crescent’s Branch. The weather was amazing, The weekend was starting early & I was really craving PQ! and the food was outstanding! as usual.

One thing was off that day, their service. they were not organized and very.. disoriented? The waiters were not concentrating even when taking our orders! they’re always attentive and very professional but for some reason they weren’t that day.
