I think we’d live longer if we had rain once every 3 days in Kuwait*

So last week in the chalet I took some pictures of the flowers growing wildly right infront of our chalet and on the beach. The pictrues turned out nicely, imo, which got me thinking as I was editing the hell out of them.. What if it rained every 3 days in Kuwait for, say, 3 or 4 years.. what would happen? I think We’d live longer. But how?

I was just asking my friend the same question and he said he likes the nescafe 3 in 1. For me, I’d have to go with water.. I drink 4 to 5 glasses of water and I’m enjoying every sip :p

It’s funny how every time we play volleyball someone gets hurt one time we rushed a friend to a hospital and last week another friend somehow hurt his thigh and even moi who played for less than an hour, my neck was hurting and only stopped hurting yesterday. Didn’t know Volleyball could be this dangerous.

Life Goes On… Drive Carefully

Now my question is: What do you think of this ad. .. Again are you convinced ?

I love lattes. I’ve tried all the places in Kuwait with cafe lattes and au laits and I can say with confidence that nothing beats my own homemade latte. Well, its not entirely homemade, I use a nespresso coffee machine. The one and only place that used to make great cafe au laits in Kuwait was Cafe supreme in Alraya, and thats not there anymore. I’ve tried their other branch in Alkoot.. and for some reason I find their lattes bland.

My favorite nespresso capsule at the moment is the Livanto (the orange one). I loved their limited edition capsule too, the pink one, the one they released during the summer… Now why would they release such a good blend that everyone liked and then make it available for a limited amount of time!?

I’m sure we’ve all seen Zain’s new backup ads by now with the old man and his old wife. It created quite a stir when they first aired during ramadan.

The ad basically used the old wife character to portray how she (the mobile) can be easily replaced by the old husband with another mobile incase of loss, damage..etc if he subscrib with Zain’s backup service. Most women (and some men) in my family found it offensive. My mother wanted to write a post on this blog and give Zain a piece of her mind. Other female members of my family were also offended and quite shocked by how degrading to women this whole ad campaign was. Other people had mixed reactions. Me and Mishary had our own little debate where one of us thought it is completely and utterly inappropriate to compare mobiles to women (wives) and the other thought they were funny. We even received emails asking us to say something about those ads. Here is an excerpt from an email we got:

“Zain should stop airing them immediately and apologize to all the people who felt offended by the Ads”

I also asked some of my friends and got different responses. Their responses:

1. I LOVE it! I laugh each time I see them on tv.
2. They’re hard to get.
3. Sexist and offensive.

and this has to be the best response and the most intriguing argument I got:

4. The ads ruffle some insecure feathers. It plays on typical and old stereotypes. Our grandfathers used to think somewhat similarly about women; they’re replaceable. And this what annoyed the Kuwaiti females the most.. It would’ve been offensive if they hired a young couple to do the ad, but they didn’t, they made them old, and that is how (most) old Kuwaiti men used to think about women anyway.

For those of you who don’t yet know that i’m a big collector of Mesabee7 kahrab just click on this LINK to see my collection. A couple of days ago i found out that there is a new type of kahrab (we used to know that the kahrab’s colora are yellow & orange) but what surprised me that there is a VERY RARE kahrab color which is BLUE! i found this when i was reading more information about them in wikipedia, here is a little definition of the blue kahrab (they call it blue amber).

“Blue amber is amber exhibiting a rare coloration. It most commonly is found in the amber mines in the mountain ranges around Santiago, Dominican Republic. ^[1]Although little known due to its rarity, it has been around since the discovery of Dominican amber.”

They cost around KD750 – KD3000 depends on the concentration and the percentage of the blue Amber, Now i need one of these! i found some guys selling it on ebay but im afraid of buying Mesabee7 online coz i need to see them first. I found one guy who’s selling some (2 or 3 mesba7) in Bahrain and called him, i think im gonna have a flight for Bahrain just for couple of hours, maybe, im gonna see him in the airport and buy it (if i liked it) and then come back to Kuwait.

But before i go there did anyone here knows  anyone selling or having any of this?

More than a week with the red colour .. This is weird. The main question here is what’s next!?

I’m new to the non alcoholic beers (malts) world, Ali was recommending and insisting on drinking this HOLSTEN (grenadine flavor) So my first try was couple of days ago and once i have drank it esara7a i couldn’t resist it! its SO DELESIOUS! it remind me of Shani.

My question is, Since im new in this world any of you guys have tried anything better? Can anyone recomend any other brand?
