Since the day before yesterday I haven’t been able to post anything, the 1st reason being I had many school-duties to attend to like exams and homeworks.. and stuff of that nature.. and 2ndly because my internet connection decided to stop working! just like that!

I called my ISP many times and they couldn’t find out the cause of the problem. they kept telling me that they’re running some sort of an update to their software and that their computers can’t detect what was going wrong. (turned out that they had to cut me off coz I didn’t pay the DSL bill for 3 consecutive months 😀 )

Dubai Airport

The airport wasn’t as busy as I’ve expected. the airport was fully decorated with christmas trees, red & white wallpapers and some other nice christmas related decorations. I loved the atmosphere. I’ve always loved Dubai’s airport, its BIG and has everything you need, yet you don’t get tired walking and looking around in it.

Today me and INM decided to go to Kuwait Motor Show 2007 to see whats new. As expected nothing new and nothing special just a few concept cars thats all.

I noticed something wrong and its ONLY done here in Kuwait .. every time there is a show the number of these portable restaurant are more than the cars in the show !! ” walah el 3atheeem kel ma atalafat alga eb kel zawya wa7ed !” and these people r surrounding these small restaurants more than the people on the show it self ! ” chena el nas yaya takel mo etshoof !”.

Before I got married I used to sleep in peace without any sound or lights but my wife used to sleep with sound and TV and lights and radio and and and …. Every thing on! after I got married, me & my wife got in troubles sleeping so we decide to solve these problems and one of them is this PillowSonic which u can connect it into TV, CD  and Radio or even ur iPod and u can put it under ur pillow and listen into  news or music or Quran.

Today i got a strange sms that after viewing it my sms aplication crashed ! I was thinking that “Okhhhh 6a7aw 3alainaa Apple eny emsawela unlock o bekharbona ley !” So, i called Hamad and he was very helpful and here are the instructions if ur iPhone got crashed.

You’ll need to delete the sms causing the crash. First activate ssh on the phone (it is activated by default if you’re using a hacked iPhone). Download a good database editor (mesasql). You’ll also need a free ftp-application (fugu) to acces the iPhone.
Check your IP address under general/wi-fi by clicking the blue button next to the network you’re connected to. Acces the iphone with fugu, user root password dottie. Locate the sms.db file, copy it to your computer (make a copy just in case)
and open it using mesasql. Find the table with the sms causing the crash (odd characters and numbers), delete it and overwrite the old db-file with the new one. Now everything should work as usual.

Every time i want to leave something “money, cards, .. ect.” for my wife, brother or even my maid i couldn’t find the right place for it. “When Aramex will deliver some packages to me and i want to leave some money in the morning and i want to say that this money is for Aramex when arrived”. So this finally will solve the problem “i hope so ..”

To start this post i must mention that i got married this year in Jan. and one of the loveliest gifts I received is this M&Ms ((BTW it was from my wife’s best friend)). Its NOT a normal M&Ms “it’s a customized M&Ms” You can have your own name or any word you want written on it.

As you can see above this is a sample from the M&Ms with the word “Mabrook” and the date, it’s such a cool gift and so unusual, I think soon we will be seeing it here in Kuwait in “Gerge3an” .

We started a bit late. My cousin was going to meet our friends (they’re here in Dubai for the weekend) they were going to the shooting range. the last time we went there we had so much fun, but I didn’t feel like going this time. I’m not sure why… so me and loco went to city center, just to waste sometime until its time to have dinner with all the rest. BUT before that, we knew we could not wait without something in our stomachs 😀 so we had a little TASBEERA from Arby’s.

I found Mario Galaxy for Nintendo Wii in Virgin megastore. I was so tempted to buy it, but I don’t have my Wii with me.. I left it in Kuwait..

And then after some surfing around the shops there, we went to Gap, it was fully stocked! better than Kuwait’s branch! aside from the Mens and Women sections it had kids section, baby’s section and infant’s section (not sure whats the difference between baby and infant). I liked it there, I found many things I could use this winter. but since its still autumn/summer in here, I decided not to buy anything.

We finally met with our friends, we were 9 in total and went to The Market Cafe. its a buffet restaurant located in Grand Hyatt hotel in dubai. we go there often, we especially like it when its friday, they have the friday special.. (all you can eat and drink for 120 Dhs LOL!). its a very very good place with VERY good food.

The Salad section. there was a giant wooden bowl where they put the lettuce and whatever else you want in and add the sauces and what not so they can finally mix it and give it to you.

there are different sections for each type of food. there is the pasta section, indian section, Salads, Pizza, Grills, Arabic AND the dessert section. oh and I forgot the drinks section, they have plenty of drinks there, and they make it infront of you and you pick it up yourself.

you can choose what kind of sauce and meats you want and they’ll cook it for you.

The Dessert section. their cheese cake was one of the best (not yesterday’s)

Every dish in there is made specially for YOU. the steak is grilled to your taste so is everything else.

We had a great time. 🙂

Few days ago we heard from friends about a restaurant that specialized in breakfast “it served breakfast ONLY, all day from 9:00 am till 12:00am” that what we was told.

so we went to it at 5:30 pm ” “Yes this is our breakfast :P”.”

So when you enter the restaurant you will face a GIANT menu placed in the wall.

You can see above the place was empty “only us was there” adreey betgoloon meno eroo7 ma63am bel 5.30pm ! 🙂 But it looks small and tiny.

Finally, we sit and ordered 2 omelet eggs with cheese and cappuccino and the NEWS IS: They didnt serve any breakfast at this time ! 6ala3 ma63am 3ady ! o la feeh fekra wala shay ! men chethy fathy !

We want to upgrade our old “Dowwa” with new and large one so, Today we went to souq alsofafeer to buy one. My last visit was long time ago when i was in ebteda’e, i think with my father.

We were expecting the souq to be crowded with people but it was nearly empty.

The souq is actually divided into 6 or 7 garages which are parallel to each other, So we went ahead and begin asking for our dowwa and i noticed something strange that what ever i ask for in each shop the seller will NEVER say “i dont have this item” they always go and ask for it in other shops near them so the result will be the same for each shop “ya3ni mala da3ey edesh 3ala kel ma7al coz kel ma7al eyeeb men jara ely nagsa !” and all of them have the same source ! 🙂

They even sells a wooden dowwa and u can customize it “3eshtaaaw”

Finally we bought our new dowwa and it gonna finish tomorrow “because it got some special features 3eshtaw CPU mo dowwa” 🙂 and we bought 2 smalls 7asala for my brother in law kids 🙂

We never stood a chance! they were not available online, the tickets that is, and the next day they were sold out! high demand? or lots of people with influence are attending? not quiet sure yet.

But thanks to MSB, we now have learned that they’re extending the shows for 2 more days. hopefully we’ll get to buy our tickets this time!
