I used my wide angle lens again, I took this picture of the church (completed in 1272) while holding the camera well below my knees just to be able to capture the whole church, and I still managed to miss the top cross. oh well.

Now, photography gurus, I have a question for you, I can’t get the fuzziness out of the trees, and any moving object for that matter. I tried to sharpen the image, did the smart sharpen thingy but it didn’t help. Any advice? and yeah I’m asking coz I’m using HDR without a tripod. 😀

very nice angle.. Well, I know that the best thing to do is to use a tripod to get supersharp images, especially with nature and landscape photography.. Asti7i doing it in public but it it’s the only way!

Why don’t you try a monopod which offers some support but easier to travel around with!

Or the new gorilla tripod, with it’s flex legs?

    Hmmm! hello there yousef! ;>
Am sorry but if u hv noticed or not that the only fuzzy things in the pic are the moving objects!! oo lo tyeeb akbar tripod bel denya it wont solve ur problem!! coz the will still move anyway !! ;p tripods only fixes still objects in areas where no sufficient light is available! such as areas under shade or any cloudy day! From the shade n shadow on the church i can say that there weren’t much of sun there! Therefore ur problem is ur shutter speed! or ur ISO! if u shoot on Auto mood then fix ur ISO if u shoot on manual try using shutter priority n put the highest meaning a large aperture opening i.e. F5.6 or F3.5 which gives u a large depth of field which i don’t recommend for landscape photography or scenery!
And regarding shooting an HDR imagine without a tripod it all depends on how r u doing ur HDR image! if u r doing it with PS then am sorry but ITS POINTLESS/STUPID NOT TO USE ONE! ;p and if u r using Photomatix then 1 sharp shot is enough.
I hope i answered ur questions, and i think ur HDR images are great ;>

Well one solution is that you can say you wanted to put in the fuzziness intentionally to give a sort of “impressionist” style interpretion 😛 Yousef ? Monet? What’s the difference!

  7. Yousef says:

a tripod won’t solve this coz i’m taking 3 consecutive photos to make my HDR image which means the wind will surely mess the trees in between each snap. I need to know something to edit out all the fuzziness or atleast minimize it.

um-mit3ib lol 3ad hathy yam bon genie! 😛

7zaya impressionist huh? khosh fikra! 😛

Oh forgot about the wind loool then choose a faster shutter speed..
