I got to know about The Protégés a couple of days ago and I really like what the program is all about.
The Protégés is a national program for the youth to help build their personalities so that they become the most qualified leaders in future years. We will teach them about Kuwaiti culture, art, music, theatre, religion, politics, sports, and everything that was a part of building Kuwait. This program will broaden their horizons by teaching them about things they do not experience on a day-to-day basis. We will shed the light on unpopular yet influential people, events, and issues that seem to be forgotten in today’s media. What makes The Protégés unique in that it approaches the curriculum in a creative manner. Students will not be bored by typical lectures because our program is all about activities, fun, games, trips, significant social figures, and more! After all, the program will take place in summer and no one wants to be bored on his or her vacation.
The Protégés made its first public appearance on April 14th in Kuwait University’s CBA and is setting a booth in CBA this week to encourage students to register and collect applications. We will soon be moving to GUST, AUK, and other colleges and high schools.

I don’t know this guy and I didn’t know he existed till 10 minutes ago, when I read a mobile message with a link to his article published on Qatar’s AlWatan newspaper dated April 11th 2010.
I’m all for accepting other people’s opinions, but for some reason I didn’t accept one word from this article, and thought it was a cheap attempt and uncalled for, Especially that it’s on a Qatari newspaper. My blood is boiling 🙂
Sorry no english translation this time around. It’s too much to translate as you can see.

Tmreya is a traditional Kuwaiti dish that has been on our menus before we even knew what a menu is. It’s famous for it’s nutritious values and vitamins. The Tmreya dish was revived by a local business and is now back in a new shape with many different added flavors.
Tmreya offer the traditional dates puree dish with a twist that is both nicer and more practical. The tmreya served in a stick, and with different flavors, like; Cinnamon, Oreo, M&Ms, Darabeel, Marshmallow, Digestive, and many more. There are also 3 dipping sauces to choose from: Chocolate, Caramel, and Hardah هردة (Sesame paste / Tahini).
I like it that they took an old traditional dish and turned into a modern presentable dessert, exposing the new generation to the old recipe.
Tmreya is located in: Khaldiya and Qadsiya Co ops.

These litte velvet cakes were brought in at a gathering and they were a hit.
The place is called ButterMilk Bakery. The cake’s design looked cute and fun, it smelled good as well! I really loved the frosting, it was so sweet and buttery. The cake’s tasted less sweet which complimented the whole mix quite nicely.
I think they did a good job with this one, but the size was a bit bigger than expected. Midway through the cake I felt like they should’ve made the portions a little bit smaller. They have a bigger version of the velvet cake as well. Try them out they’re worth it.
People who smoke are at a higher risk of developing mouth cancer (oral), gum problems, losing teeth, decay on the roots of teeth, and complications after tooth removal and gum and oral surgery.
If you smoke tobacco or vape, it is important to look after your oral health to prevent dental problems and gum disease.
Visit your dentist regularly. They can give advice about how to keep your teeth and gums healthy, and do regular oral health and mouth cancer checks.
Speak to your doctor or dentist about quitting smoking.

Where to get help
People who smoke have a higher risk of gum problems, tooth loss, complications after tooth removal and surgery in the mouth, and developing mouth cancer. They are more likely to get infections and don’t heal as well as non-smokers.
Quitting smoking improves mouth cancer, reduces the risk of developing gum disease and mouth cancer, and improves the person’s response to gum treatment.
It is very important for people who smoke to visit their dentist regularly to keep their teeth and gums healthy and check for signs of mouth cancer. If you are looking for safe and unharmful vaping products find out more on vaprzon.
It is also important for people who vape to visit a dentist regularly to detect and treat any oral health problems. If you vape, make sure to tell your dentist this.
Less adults smoke now than they used to, but it still remains a problem. In 2018, 10.7% of Victorian adults smoked.
How does smoking affect teeth, gums and oral health?
The most common oral problems affecting people who smoke are:
Gum (or periodontal) disease.
Mouth cancer.
Whitening of the soft tissue in the mouth (called smoker’s keratosis).
Poor healing after tooth removal (known as dry socket).
Tooth decay.
Tooth loss.
Poor healing after mouth and gum surgery.
Decreased taste.
Bad taste in the mouth and bad breath (called halitosis).
Smoking and gum (periodontal) disease
Smoking can cause gum disease.
Gum disease (also called periodontal disease) is caused by an infection that destroys the bone surrounding and supporting your teeth. This bone holds the teeth to the jawbone to chew food. These are the best prodentim reviews.
Bacteria and food debris called dental plaque can cause gum disease.
If left on teeth and gums, plaque hardens to form calculus or tartar. The plaque and calculus irritate the gums around teeth. This is often seen in people who smoke.
The two stages of gum disease are gingivitis and periodontitis.
If periodontitis is not treated, the structures that hold the tooth to the gum can become damaged. Teeth may become loose, fall out by themselves, or a dentist may have to remove them.
Preventing tooth loss is important
It is important to prevent tooth loss. Losing teeth towards the back of your mouth can create problems with chewing food.
Losing teeth at the front of the mouth affects your ability to eat, your appearance, and can create problems with speech.
Teeth also play an important part in holding the shape of the lower part of the face.
Smoking increases gum disease risk
The risk of gum disease is higher:
For a person who smokes less than 10 cigarettes a day, compared to someone who smokes none.
This increases 4 to 5 times more likely for people who smoke heavily.
If you smoke the following may occur:
Tooth loss (of some or all your natural teeth), making it difficult to chew certain foods, speak clearly or have confidence to smile if lost teeth aren’t replaced.
Gum disease may be harder to detect. Bleeding gums – usually an indication of gum disease – may not be present as tobacco causes poor blood supply to the gums. Not respond as well to gum treatment (professional dental cleaning) as non-smokers.
Severe periodontal disease – the risk increases with alcohol use.
At a higher risk of developing acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis. This is very painful condition that causes a terrible smell and taste.
Will my gums get better if I stop smoking?
Yes. The good news is that people who quit smoking have the same risk of developing gum disease and responding to gum treatment as non-smokers.
Once you quit smoking, don’t be alarmed if your gums bleed more. Seek treatment from a dentist or dental hygienist. They can also show you how to care for your teeth at home.
Smoking and symptoms of gum disease
If you smoke, it is important to see your dentist for regular check-ups. Symptoms of gum disease to watch for include:
Red, swollen, tender, bleeding gums.
Discharge (pus) coming from your gums.
Gums that are loose and pull away from your teeth.
A bad taste or bad breath.
Loose teeth. This can change the feel of your bite when your teeth are placed together or make dentures fit differently.
Spaces opening between your teeth.

Eager to adopt healthier habits but don’t know where to start? An exercise routine and balanced diet are well within your reach. All it takes is an open mind and the desire to change. Here are seven tips on how to make healthy habits a permanent part of your lifestyle.
Find the Right Motivation: Most people change their diet or exercise routine for superficial reasons. They want to lose 5kgs so they can fit into an outfit. Or they need to drop 10kgs before going on a cruise. This can set you up for disappointment and ultimately, failure. Instead, target non-scale victories such as more energy, better sleep, or less stress. When you center your health, weight loss and smaller clothes are a natural side effect. Focus on the feeling, not the numbers. LÑearn more about leanbiome.
Eat to Satisfy, Not to Stuff. Once you’ve changed your mindset, change your portions. It can be difficult eliminating your favorite foods, so just limit them. Adopt the 80/20 rule. Eat healthy 80 percent of the time and enjoy your favorite treats the remaining 20. Also, use smaller plates and bowls to keep your serving sizes in check. Aim for a diet of mostly nutrient-dense foods consisting of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein.
Create an Environment for Success: Remove any triggers that may undermine your progress. That could be junk food, alcohol, or sugary beverages. If you can’t have it in moderation, it’s better to be safe than sorry. Whether at home or work, the places you spend the most amount of time should be conducive to your new lifestyle.
Make Exercise Fun: If you hate working out, you won’t do it. Find activities you genuinely enjoy. If you’re not a natural runner, don’t force yourself onto the treadmill. Try swimming, kick-boxing, or the elliptical as a source of cardio. If you dread lifting dumbbells, there are plenty of bodyweight exercises that provide the same amount of resistance and muscle-building benefits.
Start Small: To make lasting change, start from the bottom up. Don’t aim for an hour-long gym session, when 15 minutes might be more realistic. Slowly increase the time and difficulty as your performance improves. Follow your body’s cues and adapt accordingly.
Write It Down: For some, a visual aid is the key to making a habit stick. It’s a way to keep you motivated and on the right track. You can make a checklist of mini-goals or take the artistic route and create a vision board. There’s also journaling, which can help you identify unhealthy habits and their underlying triggers. This is how protetox works.
Embrace Challenges: Have you ever heard the quote, “A winner is just a loser who never gave up?” During this transition, you’re bound to make mistakes. They are a natural part of the process. The goal is to acknowledge them, learn from them, and move forward. Recognize your faults but don’t let them diminish your spirit. You will only fail if you stop trying.

They were really good at disguising their clothes and the places they’ve been to in the movie, for example the getaway is actually in AbuDhabi and not Morocco. Check out AbuDhabi’s skyline in the movie, Abudhabians must’ve paid them really well.
While they may be hard to develop, everyone should aim to incorporate healthy habits into their lifestyle.
This often requires a shift of mindset and a dose of self-discipline – but that doesn’t mean it can’t be done.
Healthy habits should help you to achieve your goals, whether they’re to do with your fitness levels, body weight or mental wellness.

How to get into healthy habits
So, you want to improve your lifestyle, but how can you do it?
It’s worth knowing about the four stages of changing a health behaviour, which are:
Contemplation: you’re thinking that you want to make a change, but you’re not ready to get stuck in straightaway
Preparation: you’ve decided that you are going to make lifestyle changes and you’re figuring out which steps you’re ready to take, as well as making a plan of action.
Action: you’ve started to do the changes you’ve been planning for and you’re adjusting to your new routine.
Maintenance: one of the hardest stages, you’ve kept up your new healthy habits for the past six months or so, with ups and downs but you’ve progressed past them and kept it up. 2
If you’re reading this blog it’s likely that you’re somewhere between the contemplation and preparation phase, so how do you move from that stage to actually forming the habits?
Things like setting a schedule, tracking your progress, rewarding yourself, adding variety and showing yourself compassion should all help you to adopt new healthy habits.
Although a study from 2009 found that it can take anywhere between 18 to 254 days to form a new habit and 66 days for a new habit to become automatic.3
