I came across this website by mistake 2 years ago, or was it last year? not sure. I like the downloads section, it contains many of our favorite Kuwaiti sitcoms, like Khalty Gmasha and Darb Alzalag. A month or so ago I learned from a friend that the website is created by some Kuwaiti students who are studying abroad, in the UK. I think they did a great job. I hope they add some more Kuwaiti sitcomes and plays (masra7iyat) though ๐Ÿ™‚

The download section’s LINK.

Just thought I’d share my current homemade wallpaper with you guys, I think it looks nice as a desktop picture. ๐Ÿ™‚ Click on the pic above for the bigger version.

As promised, Goats Town! in all its glory ๐Ÿ˜› Its in France, near Chamonix. approx. 30 mins away from both Chamonix and Geneve. Its in a mountain where a city called Morzine is located nearby,ย The obscure place in which this Goat’s town reside is called Les Lindarets.

The town is pretty small and filled with, well, Goats. They lay and walk around freely, you can buy specially packaged food and feed them (rizg lig6awa) they pose and follow you whenever they spot the plastic bag, which contains their food, in your hand. sometimes, in not so rare cases, they hassle you and pull the plastic bag out of your hand, leaving you feeling both angry and silly.

They’re all gathered around this giant salt cube, licking it and there are many other cubes lying around the place from them to suck into. From what I understood, Goats love salt and they’d do anything to have their salt fix. In Kuwait I saw them licking the cement around their cage just coz it got some salt in it. They actually made a dent in the cement from all licking!

We went to Gruyรจre the other day. We go there mainly to indulge in cheese. They’re the number one source of the best cheese in switzerland and maybe all of europe. We go there prepared, we don’t eat anything heavy before heading to Gruyรจre. We order their raclette; a block of cheese they put under a some tiny cheese heater/griller (shown in the pictures), and their fondue which also is made of melted cheese. And for the dessert, we either order their hot chocolat viennois or their denmark icecream (I once ordered both and felt sick afterwards). Everything there is to die for. I’m gonna leave you now with the pics, 19 pics to be specific ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

We went to Chamonix yesterday. There was lots of clouds everywhere so I couldn’t really take pictures of the mountains out there, Mont Blanc was there but we couldn’t see it. Mont Blanc’s peak (4,807 m) is the highest peak in all of western europe. I’ll leave you with the pictures now. ๐Ÿ™‚

This is exciting ๐Ÿ˜€ Our dear friend intlxpatr from Here There and Everywhere have honored us with this amazing award, Arte Y Pico Award. Thanks intlxpatr! ๐Ÿ˜€

Now there are some rules and some choices I had to make after receiving this award. The rules are:

1. Pick 5 blogs that you consider deserve this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and also for contributing to the blogging community, no matter what language.
2. Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog.
3. Each award winner (upon acceptance) should show the award and put the name and link to the blog that has given her or him the award.
4. Show the link of Arte y Pico blog , so everyone will know the origin of this award.
5. Show these rules.

Now, I have many many more blogs that I like, Much more than the 5 below, but I had to narrow it down.. so..

Here we go & in no particular order:

  • Angelo from Final Haven. I think its a relatively new blog, But I just love the way he writes and his topics are always interesting. Sometimes I wish I could block some of the X rated topics he writes ๐Ÿ˜› coz I don’t want my mother to be reading such topics ๐Ÿ˜› But I like it a lot.
  • Fonzy from Fonzation. I’ve been a fan of his blog for a long time. He writes about everything, be it food, reviews or life and the experiences he’s been through which are almost advice-like posts. very consistent. definitely deserves this award.
  • 1001 Kuwaiti Nights. I loved this blog and loved the blogger’s personality, you could tell she’s got loads of talent and great writing style. She’s very different from all the other blogs I’ve read, yet had very broad appeal. It was one of the very few bloggers that stood out from the first visit. Unfortunately she’s not blogging anymore.
  • Mark from 248am. I’ve been reading the guy’s posts since ‘Moblogging from Kuwait’ days. I remember stumbling across his blog through a search engine, not knowing what blogs are and being fascinated with his day to day photos and the little comments he leaves under the photos. Then one day there was Miskan which got me and my friendsย hooked. and finally 248am.com emerged. The commitment and consistency alone makes him so deserving of this award, But I think the undeniable influence he’s had on the Kuwaiti blogging community is what should be recognized.
  • Bojacub from Bojacob’s Den. The guy makes me laugh out loud! his blog is full of light hearted “geeky” posts and full of humor. I like his approach, and you gotta LOVE his motto: “When life throws you a n3al, you wear it.” ๐Ÿ˜›

Those blogs are, in my opinion, just some of the excellent blogs out there. Thanks again intlxpatr. ๐Ÿ™‚

We woke up around 9 and went to this indian restaurant which is about 15 minutes away from the chalet. It was my first time to eat there, they used to bring food from the resaurant for dinner or lunch, but I never went there myself.

The Baith 6oma6 (Eggs with Tomatoes) was gewd. Their Tea with milk was good too, but not as good as the UAE’s Karak I used to drink in Sharjah.

I was going through mentabolism’s blog and came across one of the funniest blonde jokes I’ve ever read! Click HERE to read his post. Hope you find it funny ๐Ÿ˜›
