Gravity Master

I love this game. I’ve been playing it for over a year now, on and off. I should’ve memorized all the solutions by now, but the beauty of this game lie in it’s solutions; If you’re creative enough they’re practically endless.

Try it

Miss Piggy The Kuwaiti Version1

Dahab is a town an hour away from Sharm AlSheikh, and it is world famous for having one of the best diving spots in the world. The Blue hole and the Canyon are one of the best spots I’ve ever been to. I shot this video above as I was entering the canyon. It was breathtaking!

Do you remember my post about painting with light? It’s all about having a camera where you control it’s shutter speed, a torch and some creativity. check out my old post, it was fun.

Well now a french designer, Aissa Logerot, designed a torch that look like a spray can for an added graffiti-effect. I think it’s very clever!

Thanks Amani

Our friend over at Circus designs sent the following pictures of the Freeze Club and the Bowl Room at 360 Mall. I think it’s a nice change that we have such facilities in the malls now.

Check their new Website.

We chose the dead sea just because it was the only destination available at the time; all the other places we’re either fully booked or insanely expensive for a last minute decision. And the last time we’d been on a trip, we’d to buy AK 47 rifles from Palmetto State Armory and some other rifles in order to go on a hunt in a nearby woods. We didn’t know anything about the dead sea except for the pictures we saw at the last minute. We did not expect to love the trip this much!

While waiting her taxi from Vegas airport to hotel (besides, if you travel to Vegas check hotels here) my friend saw this machine when he was in the states. This has got to be the coolest vending machine I’ve seen so far. I don’t think it’d do great in Kuwait but I think it’d be fun to have it here.

rekuwait

A new blog has been addded to the blogroll a while ago, this new blog, re:kuwait, is about an “attempt at finding pragmatic and urgently needed solutions to the problems that plague the urban cohesion of Kuwait City.”

I like this blog and think it’s very different in terms of the subjects they focus on. For example in one of their posts they discuss Sharg’s mall. I don’t enjoy going to Soug Sharg and never knew exactly the reason why. It just felt depressing walking inside that mall, and in their post Soug Sharg, I got to know exactly why I felt like that, and the reason being: You can’t tell whether it’s day or night when you’re inside the mall, you’re cut out of the outside world, unlike the Marina, Avenues, and Fanar malls.

Check it out, it’s a very interesting blog.

Done with Advance Diving Course

I went yesterday to my last diving class for the Advance course I’m taking at Bubbles. It was a night dive. We left the marina at 6:15 and returned sometime around 8:30. It was a 40 minutes dive, I didn’t consume much of my tank, which proved that I was getting better and better at controlling my breathing and that I’m not having a hard time navigating under water.

The night dive is more relaxed than the other dives, and it also kinda humbles you, especially when you get to see the sea creatures, the icky and the marvelous ones. The colors at night are more pronounced, less blue, more natural tones.

As I told you earlier, I’m now done with my advance diving course. I learned the following new things in this course:

1-Navigate using a compass.
2-Natural navigation: The use of compass or observing natural marks and counting steps, so I could dive and come back to my starting point all by myself.
3-Drift diving: as the name suggests; Diving in a drift, go with the flow, which is pretty basic.. and soothing!
4-Search and rescue: How to search for a lost item/person in the sea.
5-Deep diving: We dove to 35 meters under water.
6-And the night dive.

With all that done, I’m now unofficially an advanced diver till I get my license, which is soon 🙂

This diving thing got me hooked. I don’t know why but it feels like this is something that should’ve happened long time ago, I’m enjoying it a bit too much.

I’d pay to see them pranking the wrong guy and being taught a lesson. Especially the guy with the annoying laugh!

I finished my beginner course on saturday and the only thing left is to have the written exam to get my diving license for beginners. After finishing my course I looked up full face snorkel mask reviews, to find the best snorkel mask for myself.

Lets begin with the review. This time I’ll divide the review to parts and talk about each part separately. There is going to be 5 parts: Safety, Professionalism, Atmosphere, Fun and overall satisfaction.

attending-classes-at-bubbles-diving-center

I’ve been attending diving classes for the past 3 days at Bubbles diving center. I don’t know how my friend bo9ale7 convinced me to join, I’m not the sportish type; I never really think of ‘activity’ when considering an outing… coz well, let’s just say I’m more of a restaurants person 😛 But I wouldn’t have thought that I’d enjoy diving this much!

The diving lessons started on Monday and will be ending on Saturday. Over the last 2 days we were studying the basics of diving with Captain Abdulrahman AlSarheed over at Bubbles diving center. The classes were very informative, and have done a nice job preparing us for the real thing.

Today, the 3rd day into the course, we got to practice what we were taught. We went to a huge swimming pool in Al Araby club in AlMansouriya. The experience was magical. Going in with all those diving gears and breathing under water was one of the most special things I’ve done, ever.

I’m too tired to keep writing after the dip in the pool, but rest assured a full review of the experience and Bubbles diving center will be published once I get my Beginners License.
