I’m sick again 🙂 the 3rd time in less than 50 days. The first time i got sick i was like, yeah, maybe its weather changes and me traveling back to Kuwait from Dubai.. you know how it is when you travel? But then when i got sick the second time, only 3 weeks after i got better, i thought, hmm maybe i should get a doctor’s opinion? a real “ear, nose and throat” doctor. but as the days went by, and the antibiotics kicking in, it all seemed nice and dandy again.. why go to a doctor?

Who thinks of going to the doctor when there are no immediate pain?

But 3 days ago, less than a week from concluding my sickness with my 2nd antibiotics course, it came back, that damn virus mutant thing came back!!!

Anyway, I’m going to a real doctor on sunday, i got an appointment. and I’m gonna end this tonsils thing once and for all.

Its weird when you get sick and one of your friends get really mad coz you can’t go out with him.. I told him I’m sick and can’t even get out of bed, yet he’s so angry and think I’m not giving a good enough excuse… I’m sure he’s reading this now. 😛

Le Pain Quotidien, to many its just another cafe, But to me, its the home of my favorite egg benedict! 😀 Whenever I’m in the mood for a good breakfast and I happen to be able to get up in time, I go there and have one of the best breakfasts in Kuwait.

Last thursday was a great day for having breakfasts outdoors. We went to Le Pain Quotidien, Marina Crescent’s Branch. The weather was amazing, The weekend was starting early & I was really craving PQ! and the food was outstanding! as usual.

One thing was off that day, their service. they were not organized and very.. disoriented? The waiters were not concentrating even when taking our orders! they’re always attentive and very professional but for some reason they weren’t that day.

Apparently there is a site dedicated to bathrooms all around the world (no joke). You can check all the bathrooms in your country incase you decided to go when you’re out and far away from home equipped with the bathroom shower panels and other fancy things.

Also, we recommend taking a look at these custom frameless shower screens you can ask this company to help you install and make your house look more elegant.

Currently in Kuwait there are only 3 bathrooms listed. If you know anymore public toilets, you can go ahead and add them (good karma people!) 😛

I’m sick again. Not more than a month ago I was sick with inflamed tonsils (lowaz), fever and a flu. and now, its all back again with a vengeance.

I’m not answering my phone since yesterday coz i’m having difficulty speaking. so I’ve been sending sms’s after each miscall saying “i can’t talk coz i’m sick and my tonsils (bal3eemy warma) are inflamed at the moment. we talk later”

As weird as it may sound, i find whoever calls me after reading that sms is weirder! I mean, I told you I can’t answer! why are you calling me back?? what should I do to get through to you ❓

I know! I should either come after you (when I get better inshallah) and hunt you down OR I pray that a wall falls and You just happen to be under it. 👿

I got this weird email when i was checking my emails:

Yesterday after we finished dinner 9K2HN suggested to try avocado juice, i was like… WHAT!? Avocado juice? (yes, i’m kinda picky. but compared to INM i’m a vacuum! Coz he’s EXTREMELY picky!) Back to topic 😛

So after we went there he ordered and i gave it a try. Simply, its DELICIOUS! mashalah its kinda thick i cant imagine its a Natural fruit/vegetable (wait a sec.. is it a vegetable or a fruit?) walla madry bas it tastes good.

The place is so tiny, and its located in Kaifan Co-op, next to Mr. Baker.

They have a new way to cover the top of the plastic cup, They cover it with this skinny transparent nylon tissue.

I was hungry and the guy from KFC told me why not try their new wrap sandwich. I foolishly fell for it.

Its a star shaped wrap sandwich. It tasted like chicken, twister sauce, marinara sauce, beans (don’t ask), lots of cheese, tortilla chips… lots of flavors came together to form this disgusting sandwich. Oh and it was soggy too! Just the way I like it 😡

Spoons are so last year. Who has time to find a clean one, lift your hand, swirl your wrist to mix in sugar with your tea or coffee, tap the spoon dry or lick it and then place it back on the plate? this is a elegant and simple design. Incorporating a molded glass groove (resembling a roulette wheel) that acts as a track for a ceramic ball as well as keep you from choking to death on it, the user is inclined to swirl the cup using centrifugal force to mix your beverage. I applaud the design and am still pondering its need over my premixed vanilla latte.

I was introduced to The Noodle House and the chinese food in general about 3 and half years ago. My friends and roommates were regulars in this restaurant for ages before i came along. I love this restaurant and rate every other chinese restaurant based on how the food tastes in comparison. I know its not a good way to rate other restaurants, coz simply, they don’t stand a chance.

The restaurant is owned by Jumeirah International (which is owned by Dubai’s government), This alone gives it an edge an make it so far ahead of all of the other restaurants in Dubai. With a reputation like Jumeriah’s you’re gonna know it’ll be in every special and unique place, with the best decor and interior designs along with the best service in town.

The food quality is, as you may already sensed, is the best i’ve tried so far. The presentation is simple and elegant. They don’t have as many dishes as Peacock in Kuwait, but thats an advantage in my opinion, coz peacock’s menu never cease to confuse me. They have so many dishes which makes me not know exactly what i would like to order. I mean look at their chicken dishes, they have tons! IMO, If a restaurant doesn’t have standout dishes, they’re gonna offer whatever they can to compensate (but thats only my opinion peacock’s fans 😛 )

Dishes I like in The Noodle House:

Starters:
-Vegetable Spring rolls.
-Sesame prawns on toast.
-Prawn Bags

Main Dishes:
-Bakmi Goreng Noodles with shrimp & chicken (i always ask them to take out the shrimps)
-Chicken Sweet & Sour (unlike any other S&S dish i’ve tried)
-Thai Chicken with cashew nuts
-Roasted Duck (my favorite dish in this whole wide woyyd 😀 )
-Nonya Chicken Curry (they promised to bring it back to their menu soon)

They also have plenty of drinks and cocktails, but I never try them, I only order diet coke when I’m there. Yeah and its interesting to note that they offer both Pepsi’s products and Coke’s!

Yesterday me & my wife decided to go to Al-Koot Mall, Actually we prefer it because we find it less crowded than the other Malls. After we finished shopping i got a phone call from Abdullah telling me to try MUGG & BEAN Restaurant. He said that this restaurant specialized in sizing! every thing is SUPER SIZED, even if ur ordering a Hot Chocolate or Cappuccino there is a free refill! So, Naturally, We hopped on the idea and decided to give it a try.

As you can see above there are few tables inside the restaurant (its a little bit tiny inside) so we decided to sit outside. We ordered the Chicken Ceaser Salad and for the main course mix grills, The Salad was HUGE! HUGE! and very rich in chicken and bacon and ceaser sauce. Actually, its just a mix of chicken and bacon! (sij estaghrabt laish emsamenhaaa sala6a aslaan!!) But it was delicious esara7a I liked it. We really liked the starters, but the main course not so much, nothing special at all.

Its located on Sultan Center’s side, the opposite side of Paul Cafe.

Today Me & my family decided to have our lunch at Sarai restaurant. It’s a combination of Syrian, Armenian and Turkish food. The word Sarai is from turkish origins and means The Castle (According the waiter).

I didn’t expect the restaurant to be this busy (Thank God i made the reservation yesterday!) The place was almost full, I would’ve taken more pictures of the restaurant if it wasn’t so crowded!

The appetizers were delicious esara7a, I loved and enjoyed them, Even though i was surprised to find out that they don’t serve some of the famous mazzat (appetizers) like fried chicken wings with garlic and and grilled Hallom cheese. The starters were the hightlights, but when you reach the maincourses stage, I’m sorry to say that there is nothing special about them.

Over all the restaurant’s atmosphere is suitable for families, Just make sure to reserve before going.

In my opinion it deserves 4/5 due to the place being small and their main courses being bland.

My mom loves Martha Stewart’s cooking, so INM went ahead and ordered some of Martha’s cookies for her. We received it a week ago, me and INM were expecting real cookies.. but only after we started opening the packaging we discovered that we made a mistake, and that we ordered the cookies’ DOUGHS and not real baked cookies! mahagainaa walah ena chethy ! 😛 we eneded up, me and my wife, baking them ourselves.

As you can see above it got three packs in it, Sugar, Chocolate and Cookie Mix.

Here are the cookies! the pack is enough to make around 36 pieces. it says after preparing the cookie dough “put the cookies in the oven for 15 mins” but they ended up spending around 10 minutes only.. we like our cookies soft 😀 a7eb a7es’hooom eshwaya 3ayeeeen !! and they r REALY tasteeeeeeeeeeeey!
