1.Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

2.Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

3.Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

4.Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don’t Do It!

5.Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning nothing.)

6.That’s Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That’s okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

7.Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you’re welcome. (I want to add in a clause here – This is true, unless she says ‘Thanks a lot’ – that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say ‘you’re welcome’ . that will brg on a ‘whatever’).

8.Whatever: Is a woman’s way of saying @*&^%$#!&

9.Don’t worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking ‘What’s wrong?’ For the woman’s respo nse refer to # 3.

And an an honorary mention of our own Kuwaiti word that parents used to say when we were young and needed their permission to do something. No good can come after hearing this word… the infamous… “Y9eer khair.”

Thanks M

Right after finishing from Prime and toast (previous post) I went to Soug wajif in almubarakiya. Soug wajif or Soug alhareem (Women’s market) is an old Kuwaiti soug where usually women would sit and sell traditional and women stuff.

Before going in I stood and took some pictures of the entry. This guy pictured above started hiding his face and asked me loudly not to photograph him. When I came closer I asked for the reason and he said “I don’t think my face is nice enough to be photographed.” I laughed and tried to convince him that there was nothing wrong with his face.. and we started talking. I asked him about the Soug and for how long he’s been working here.

Our friends decided it was time for them to get to know the sharks a little better, so they went to the scientific center’s aquarium, signed some release forms (stating that the center won’t be held responsible if anything goes wrong), put on their diving gears and then dove right in. Me & HKR were there to document the experience with our cameras, you know, incase something interesting happens…

We were back last friday and saturday at Althuba3iya’s mini runway and this time there were some new planes there. I was most excited to see them fly the Private Jet, the Cessna Citation, which after some googling turned out to be a real private jets’ company. Ali Mashinchy was there too, I was told He is a very famous and one of the best jet pilots out there and that he’d won some major awards doing this. We were blown away by his skills as soon as he started flying those jets. He put quite a show on.

Are you going to complain about the traffic to work.. ever again?

We spotted this flying trike in Alzour as he was passing right above us.

I think it’s a very cool hobby and I would love to go on a ride one day, but the thing is.. I’m afraid of heights. Especially when I’m hovering 30 meters above ground in a little flying tricycle. Actually, that would be my worst nightmare come true 😛

who-this-actor

Its an old ad. but I’m wondering Does anyone know who’s this actor ? 🙂

P.S. He’s not Kuwait 🙂

P.S. II 9K2HN and the rest of the family excluding Yousef can’t comment on this post 🙂

UPDATE: As expected most of you know who’s that person which was 3abdallah il sad7an 🙂

We were in Marina crescent on thursday for the GulfRun event. There was a car show and a lot of really cool cars on display. I didn’t know it was an annual thing and that this year is it’s 4th.

“The GulfRun was first created in 2005 by a group of young Kuwaitis’ who wanted to practice car racing in a professional and secure environment. They wanted to avoid street racing, reduce car accidents, and prevent spreading fear among public, therefore, they rented the world renowned Bahrain International Circuit to be able to achieve their goal, strengthen their driving skills and learn the capability of their cars.

Three years later the GulfRun has evolved into an annual friendly racing competition. Under the guidance of professional-racers and instructors, racers are able to push their cars to the limits in a regulated and secured environment. At the Bahrain International Circuit, full safety will be emphasized as multiple instructors will be present along with a full safety staff, commonplace in F1 races.”
