My brother ordered a laptop for a friend. This friend made his debut to online buying with this laptop purchase. Its his very first time.. 😀
This is how the story goes.. Our friend wanted to buy the newly released White Macbook with a 2.4 processor & 2 GB RAM. My brother (6ag issadir) and helped him order, using my DHL address. 12 days later the laptop arrived and our friend went to the customs to pick it up (He payed 65kd to the DHL, 57 for the delivery and 8kd for the requested insurance) Anyway! He took it and started playing around with it.. a day or 2 later and as he was looking around, he decided to take a look at the device specs.. he went to that little Apple icon on top and clicked on About This Mac.
I got a call from my brother saying there was a mistake with the order! We ordered and paid for the 2.4 and got the 2.1 instead!!
After much investigation and contemplating my brother stumbled upon the 2 stickers shown above. Turned out there was a mistake from Amazon.com’s side when placing these 2 stickers. One of the stickers states that this is a 2.1 Macbook and the other says its the newer (more expensive) 2.4 Macbook!
We, and by we I mean my brother, have already sent an email to Amazon and are waiting their reply!
This is not their first time messing up our orders. I remember once Me, Mishary & INM were shocked to find boring books in the package instead of the DVDs we’ve ordered.

8 days ago i placed an order for MacBook 2.4 – 160G – White ,,,, yesterday i picked up my package from aramex “which btw only costs 18 KD tell ur brother’s friend go open an aramex inbox 😀 and it reached in 6 work days from the time it was in my US mailbox”
so in the 1st package the exact right mac software i requested ,, in the BIG laptop box which i kept openning with joy,, seeing the black on the cover “naaaa its just an AD for MacBook black!” to open the box and see the MacBook 2.4 – 250G!!!! – BLACK !!!! its more expensive than the one i ordered!!!!!
i was about to fill a replacement form but they had this condition that i will have to pay for returning it !!!! i said
حريمتهم ياخذون مني فلس هم غلطانين و هم ادفع لهم
so i e-mailed them, waiting for the reply in 24 hours “as promised by them”, if they do not solve this then i will inform them that i will keep the one i have, i will not tolerate delay + i will not wait for them to send me the one i want UNLESS i would be guaranteed that i will not pay any additional cost!
this is the 1st time they mess up with me 🙁
Some Internet companies find that it is not worthwhile having the item sent back and will ship you the original item that you ordered without asking for a return. Maybe you will get lucky and end up with 2 laptops.
Did you say KD57 for shipping? Cuz with Aramex or USWS it would have cost him KD18 to ship a macbook.

Sorry but, y dont all of u order directly from APPLE.COM!!
i know some orders get rejected due to the shipping address (Aramex or USWS) but sometimes if u r lucky it goes through! n when it does do not change or edit ur address! i repeat DO NOT CHANGE OR EDIT UR ADDRESS!
this way all ur future orders will be placed if it got accepted the first time! u will avoid all the hassle with amazon or any other online shopping site!!
*another trick u can use if they rejected ur order u could gift wrap ur order! n it often (%99.9) goes through ;>
Chill Girl: Yes it happened with a friend, he ordered in a iphone, and it somehow got lost because of some address confusion. Then they sent him another iPhone and somehow the lost iPhone got sent also. He ended up with 2 iPhones. He was honest and told apple about it, and they said just keep them both because they already claimed on the shipping insurance.
I THINK YOU SHOULD’VE ASKED ME BEFORE YOU POST ABOUT THIS.
I DEMAND TO BE CREDITED FOR THIS
btw they’ve sent me an email stating that there is another apple macbook 2.4ghz..etc is in the way to my mailbox.

Don Veto Yeah amazon did that with the books they sent by mistake, they told us to either donate them to a public library or keep them. we kept them lol! 😀
