question-the-time-machine

I asked my friends this question and NONE of them gave me the 100% correct answer. And yes there is only ONE single right answer, and I came up with it!

The question is:

(Religious logic aside) Is it possible to invent a time machine? and your proof?

(rab3y ily i3arfon iljawab.. khamoosh!)

The post will be updated later with the correct answer ๐Ÿ™‚

UPDATE: The Answer:

We got 2 right replies for the above questions and they were Musaed’s and dev’s ๐Ÿ™‚

The answer would be: If it was ever possible to invent the time machine any time in the future, then we’d see people visit us from the future right now. Since we don’t have visitors from the future, then this machine won’t be invented, not even 10,000 years from now. And That my friends is how it’s answered! ๐Ÿ˜›

  1. Musaed says:

Not possible of course, because if it’s possible we would see people from future visiting us in our present!

  2. Dee says:

    hmmmmmmm no

  3. dev says:

umm.. well the thing is.. if it was possible.. then we would/should hv people from the future travelling bak into time.. for example to our time.. or any other for that matter.. but since there is no evidence of that happening.. id say no.. time machine.. nah..doesnt exist..

“Not possible of course, because if itโ€™s possible we would see people from future visiting us in our present!”

What if a time machine is invented a hundred years in the future, that only allows you to go back, say, 50 years?

  5. Kwak says:

Technically yes. I think, if I’m not wrong, that if one was to go above the speed of light then they would be able to travel faster than the sun thus being able to go back in time.

  6. Na9er says:

Like what Kwak said. If you can generate something that can speed things up much faster than the speed of light, you can go back in time. You will than be able to “Break the space and time continuum”.

  7. Marzouq says:

IT IS POSSIBLE WITH THE DELOREN!!!! Thats all I have to say!

  8. MBH says:

It’s theoretically possible but not yet practically due to technological obstacles.

I believe it’s possible to see the past but never the future, and the past can be visited to a certain limit only.

We see objects due to reflected light. If you could capture light from space and stream the information of reflected images to earth fast enough, you could see events that happened; this depends on the location of the “gathering devices” — the further they’re located, the further we go to the past.

Light fades away, faces too many obstacles in space and the radius gets obscenely larger when stepping away from Earth. Too many difficulties.

  9. sinful eye's says:

YES … cause i came from the future just to comment in your post and say to you that it is possible !!
i used a huge centrifuge that got me enough speed to go back in time ,,, i was born 20 years from today ! and am now 13 years old … so do the math for the time i traveled back !

    Happy Alien !

  10. Yousef says:

lol Marzouq! deloren with the flux capacitor all the way! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

  11. KTDP says:

depends on the theory you subscribe to. If time is parallel then you can travel forwards and backward on it by altering certain variables. However if it isn’t parallel then you cant.

You can however reverse things like ageing of organic objects by introducing growth factors.

  12. 123KDD says:

Yes it is possible. They have invented it already.

    Its called a watch.

  13. m7ammad says:

Yes!<<because the movies say so! ;p

  14. n says:

yes it is because iam from the future

  15. somechick says:

yup i have proof!….you see my twin is actually me from another dimension no one believes it but yes there are time machines out there somewhere. So ahA its possible!

  22. Salem says:

Everyone who has mentioned that in order to go back in time we have something that generates speed faster than the speed of light is wrong. If a human being experiences a journey at the speed of light which is something like 300,000 km/h or so the body will shatter into tiny particles or so Einstein says.

So my guess is: a camera.

Its the only logical answer to visit the past in memory, not physically of course.

  23. Purgatory says:

That does not make sense, it is based on the premise that we are fully confident that we do not have any future travelers or visitors. Maybe they do not want to expose themselves.

  24. Yousef says:

    It makes perfect sense ๐Ÿ™‚

For how long they’ll keep it a secret? 100 years 10000 years? 200000 years? it’ll be later exposed then known by everybody and eventually made into a busniess.. :p

  25. error says:

in theory if humans can reach the speed of light one can travel to the future but can never return back in time. traveling 1 hour in the speed of light equals 70 years on earth.

  26. Purgatory says:

I believe we do have time travelers between us, but we do not know about them.

  27. S3ood says:

The answer is incorrect for many reasons, I wish I could explain in a word or even a hundred. The very laws of general relativity permit the manipulation of time under set rules. It is not impossible. It is far from it, it is just a matter of time. Many scientist dedicated their theories to that effect, including Einstein.

Also, just because we have yet ‘identified’ people as being time travels does not necessarily negate the whole theory. I am not suggesting that they are among us, seeing as time is set in a hypothetical line, we might have not even invented it for the first time to see any. I am just saying the idea is not impossible.

The logic used in your answer is flawed.

With that said, I enjoy your blog very much. You among select few other blogs keep me in touch with issues from home while I am away. So, thank you. Please keep up your bang up job.

    Cheers

  29. Adam says:

The future is a representation and continuation of what we do in the present. If we dont invent the machine now it wont be there in the future. We will all of a sudden have ppl visiting us right as soon as we develop it. Unfortunately the past is known, the future isnt. I think its still possible.

  30. Quack Scientist says:

The answer is correct assuming time is linear, and that there are no parallel time lines existing. According to the laws of quantum mechanics, an electron can exist at two places at once. This observation brings an interesting theory to mind of the existence of a multiverse. If such scenario is true, then people from the future can come back through time from a time line parallel to ours but in a separate existence. This is all assuming that people from the future want to be seen.

This is the true answer to the question.
