We posted earlier about the what we thought a new leaked software for the Blackberry messenger, but I guess we all know about that fake/corrupted file and how it contains many bugs, and in some cases fatal ones.
However, there is a solution..
FIRST BACK UP YOUR DATA
1. Then go to Options - Adv. Options - Apps - highlight BBM 5.0, press the menu key and delete it on your phone.
2. From there, connect your device to a PC, launch DM (Desktop Manager), go into APP LOADER (settings or options) and click bb messenger 4.6.0. Click next and it should install the previous version on your device that says (downgrade, not preferred) unclick bbm 5.0 if it comes up.
3. Then when u do that, do step 3. again but this time click preferred, that'll update ur phone back to before, just w/o that new bbm.

I’m happily did not upgrade! Lots of people facing problems!
In my case, when I tried doing that, BBM 4 didn’t show on my app loader…I had to reinstall the OS to get it back!
to be honest it’s a good app, but it has many problem and one of them is the message delay !!
I’m downgrading now, anyway to do it in Mac ?
I followed the steps you listed above to downgrade my BB messenger from 5.0 to 4.6, but when I go to my desktop manager – Apploader its just displays the applications I have on my phone. Therre is no choice for me to select BB messenger 4.6.0. Where do I get the Messenger 4.6 from?

Do I only need to backup my BB Contacts or any other info might be lost if I delete my OS?
And how can I delete the OS?

hey, i have a BIG problem.
i was upgrade my BBM messenger except i wasnt really sure then if i downloaded 5.0 or not.. i am really new to this..
i just checked to see if my BBM was any different after the download& except BBM app wasnt there! i did everything ^^^listed on the top&it still says i have BBM 4.6. finally MY BBM app doesnt show& my phone is running extremely slow! please help
