I just learned that he’s got one. It’s decent, lots of information in his biography section.. Did you know that Darb Alzalag was the first colored tv production in the gulf? I just did! and that he has many plays (masra7iyat) from the early 60’s that weren’t recorded? How about how he go discovered as a potential comedian by Zaki Tulaimat totally by accident?

I think it’s a great source of information about this great actor. Check it out

Thanks Fawaz

This piece of news cracked me up!

Russell Stuart, 51, was woken when he heard his Peugeot car being revved up on his driveway in the early hours. Mr Stuart ran outside, opened the passenger door and sat beside the thief – not realising he had forgotten to get dressed.

“I said to him, ‘all right mate, where are we going then?‘ And he jumped out of the car and legged it. I don’t know what the guy must have thought when a large naked bloke got into the car next to him, but when your car is being stolen you don’t think about it, you just react.” As soon as the thief saw Stuart, he flung the door open and made a run for it.

Mr Stuart drove around the town looking for the thief but, still naked, gave up after a while in case he got pulled over for indecent exposure.

Heartbreaking..

This guy claims that he broke the record set by a woman using Samsung’s galaxy S just a few days ago when she typed the phrase below in less than 26 seconds. The new unofficial record was set using an iPhone in under 22 seconds.

The phrase is:

“the razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human”

I just tried and managed to write it in 51 seconds using an iPhone.

How fast can YOU type that?

The kids reaction is priceless! poor little girl!

TV during Ramadan is awesome and the ads during this month are always great. 2 of my favorite ads this season are Wataniya telecom’s (shofo ghanouma) and Asnan Clinic’s. Both are very well done and Khfaaaf 6eena!! Loved them!

Yes this is what do you call it creative person, out of the 16 pictures she draw a heart shape.

The above interview was with a guy whose sister was assaulted and almost raped by an intruder. A serious matter. Now, some very creative people managed to turn that serious interview into an instant internet hit by editing and auto-tuning the clip. Must watch!

We were all in the chalet when we discovered that my brother’s birthday was only hours away (we were reminded by the birthday boy himself by the way), so my friend and I went to Fhaiheel and got him a cake.

Happy Birthday Hamad 😛

Meal planning

Answering the question “what should I eat?” doesn’t need to leave you feeling baffled and frustrated. In fact, when you have the right information and motivation, you can feel good about making healthy choices. Use these tips to plan healthy and delicious meals:

  • Plan in advance. Meal planning takes the guesswork out of eating and can help ensure you eat a variety of nutritious foods throughout the day.
  • Find budget-friendly foods. Create a shopping list in advance to help stick to a budget and follow these SNAP-friendly recipes.
  • Consider preparation time. Some meals can be made in as little as five minutes. If you love cooking, or if you’re preparing a meal with or for friends or family, you may want to try something a little more challenging.
  • Keep calories in mind. The number of calories people need each day varies by individual. Always discuss your weight and fitness goals with your health care provider before making big changes. Read about calorie goals and healthy food swaps.

When you create your shopping list, don’t forget nutritious basics such as fresh fruits and vegetables and whole-grain bread. This sample shopping list (PDF, 108 KB) includes a variety of healthy foods you may want to have in your kitchen.

Making Fruit Tartlets

We were at Marks & Spencers at 360 when we saw the tarlets cups and the ready made creme filling mix. It was a wednesday, the day before chalet day, and on that day everything looks appetizing and sounds like a good idea for the weekend. So we bought 2 packets of each, and my friend went to dean and deluca on thursday and got the fresh fruits from there. It was so simple and surprisingly.. Click to continue reading + pictures

One word: Shallah 7aaaadik!

The last word somehow reminds me of this kid and the way he says blooduh.

Yes, why not it might be true.

Now the vuvuzela deserves to be blended!
