This is my first attempt at HDR.

We woke up around 9 and went to this indian restaurant which is about 15 minutes away from the chalet. It was my first time to eat there, they used to bring food from the resaurant for dinner or lunch, but I never went there myself.

The Baith 6oma6 (Eggs with Tomatoes) was gewd. Their Tea with milk was good too, but not as good as the UAE’s Karak I used to drink in Sharjah.

Note: At first I thought this incident happened in Kuwait, But I just read on another blog that it might’ve happened in the UAE. We don’t know where it happened, just enjoy the video, feel disgusted and move on! ๐Ÿ˜›

Thanks Tareq.

There is another ad made for the mall which I think has nothing to do with the mall, Cick Here if you wanna watch it.

There will be 7 levels in the 360ยฐ Mall, as stated on their website, Five above ground, one Lower Level, One Ground Floor.

The Mall should be done by the winter of 2008.

Since i was young in high school i grew up watching my grand father collecting mesbahs (rosaries), after he passed away my father took over this hobby, and continued collecting and having his own collection. The bag contains some rare and very precious ones, collected from more than one country. He also, sometimes, buy his own rock and custom made his mesbah.

And now back to my beginning, since i was, at the time, in high school i couldn’t afford them coz the price range starts from KD 40 to KD 950 per mesbah so i decided to go with the plastice ones ๐Ÿ˜› which only cost 500 fils ๐Ÿ˜›

Last saturday I took a dip in the sea. The sun was as big as the sky, or so it seemed. The water was cold, I don’t know why I thought the water would be much warmer. Before I got out I rode the banana with 2 other guys. Its funny how one minute you’re chilling in the sea and next you’re on this huge inflated banana trying your best to hold on to dear life! But, yeah, I was the first to fall after the longest 5 minutes ever and To this second my leg hurts. mako layaqa. ๐Ÿ™‚

Some of the guys I know really think they could get a nice tan in the summer, they use different kind of tanning creams to get that perfect tan, which never happens ๐Ÿ˜› The idea makes me laugh really.. So, let me break it down to you. Average Kuwaiti guys when exposed to the sun for longer than an hour tend to end up looking like cockroaches lol don’t deceive yourselves into thinking otherwise.. ok? ๐Ÿ˜›

Few days ago i got this email from INM telling me that these pics was taken long ago (i dont know the year exactly) when the KOC (Kuwait Oil Company) was operated by BP (British Petroleum).

They were distributing those houses for their employees and one of them was this British guy who have taken some pics of his family. Nowadays those houses are being remodeled with help from Bell Roofing Company.

What i want to show you is how LOVELY and beautiful the house was. Check out how they are so organized

UPDATE:

It’s the new Sultan Center.

When I was looking for a gift for my nephew I really had to go everywhere! There is nothing much you can buy for 1 year old boy if you don’t want to buy him clothes.

I tried many places, I went to Khalid bin ilwaleed street, I remember I enjoyed going there when I was young, but I found nothing! I also went to Waleed (ma7al waleed) shop and I think that shop needs some serious revamp.

I went everywhere, including this Fantasy world shop but couldn’t really find a toy that made me go “THIS IS THE TOY!” they all looked ehh and so so.

One thing caught my eye and stayed with me was this little train, and although it is not made for a one year old to play with it alone, but atleast He could enjoy it with a parent’s help until he’s a bit older.

If you’re looking for toys, I think this place is one of the best in Kuwait. They have many things for different age groups. There are even things fro grownups, like the pool and board games. auto freaks may also enjoy Fantasy World’s collection of miniature cars. I personally liked how they had some thing for everyone. Ofcourse you’re always better off buying online, but if you’re buying a heavy gift, like the one i bought, then you wouldn’t want to pay the gift’s worth on shipping.

The one I went to, which I think is the biggest branch, is located in Shuwaikh, on Alghazali street, across the street from Electrozan and near the fourth ring road. They have other branches in Soug Sharg & AlBustan Mall.

This whole thing made me realize how fortunate we were to grow up in a time when we could always find the prefect toy in Kids โ€˜rโ€™ Us in Salmiya. *1..2..3.. group sigh*

Today INM received a couple of packages from aramex with a total bill of KD21.750 so he gave the driver KD30, the driver went to his car and came back and asked INM if he had any change, he didn’t and it’s kinda not his problem, I mean if you dont have change then make the bill like KD20 and then ther wont’ be a need for the change! ๐Ÿ˜› But then the driver asked if its ok to pay using Knet, W didn’t know they can use Knet! So INM went ahead and paid him.

They started this service for almost 3 months ago. I hope they add this service online also o neftaak men USWS!

Thanks INM

Yesterday me & my wife went to A’ayan to get a new car for our driver, our priorities are the following:

  • Rental car (coz we want a full insured car plus free service)
  • Economic car.
  • Small to medium size.
  • looks pretty (My wife’s priority ๐Ÿ™‚ )

So we ended up with these two models:

Nissan Altima

initial deposit: KD300

Monthly payments: KD130

Honda Accord

Initial deposit: KD350

Monthly payments: KD135

Since i don’t have any experience before with Honda and Nissan i would like to ask you guys which one should I go for?

We went to Nino and ordered 2 of their certified angus beef, and we asked for a medium cook. we got 2 well done steaks instead. My friend started eating his and I returned mine. after waiting 10 more minutes I got a rare steak.. so I sent it back again. My friend was half way through his steak when they finally brought my medium cooked steak.

Things I don’t understand:

1- Why do restaurants always hear welldone when I say medium?
2- Why do restaurants punish customers who return steaks?
3- why did my friend eat his well done steak when his original order was a medium steak?
4- if it doesn’t really matter what kind of steak he ends up eating, why then did he specify?
5- How come I return my dish twice and end up eating after my friend’s done eating and get nothing more than a little lame apology from the waiter?
6- Why are people considered difficult when they refuse to eat things they did not order?

If we all became indifferent to what kind of steaks we end up eating then the whole steak-cooking system would become obsolete! I won’t let that happen! ๐Ÿ˜›

This is what I get for Parking less than an hour under the sun. I could barely breathe when I got in the car!

Al Muhallab Mall

From 10am till 5pm. I had to convince the security guard that I have a doctor’s appointment and show him a proof. Yet the girls, even if they’re by themselves, can go in and out with no problems at all.

Remember my posts regarding the Chevrolet and Cadillac Bags?! Yesterday we found them in a shop called Fuschia in the Avenues mall.

They have a plenty of them!ย  with many shapes and sizes.

The question is: Are these really a GM official licensed products?!

Yesterday after ANM’s birthday we went to the Avenues and wanted to taste Hรคagen-Dazs Fondue, so we went there and placed an order. BTW its in the Avenues phase II.

Its says that it serves 4 persons in the menu, but actually it serves only 2 (Kuwaiti person) you know what i mean by Kuwaiti .. ya3ni etha 7ag 4 beseer bas e7alfoon 3alaih ๐Ÿ˜›

It comes with 2 large plates

First plate contains:

  • Strawberry.
  • Kiwi.
  • Banana.
  • Brownie.
  • Cookies.

Second Plate contains:

4 choices of their ice cream flavor.

The ice cream melt so quickly if you dip it in the chocolate sauce, so beware. I think it deserves 2/5 due to the cheap tasting chocolate sauce.

FYI: they are accepting cash only at the moment.

“The United Arab Emirates on Wednesday conducted tests to induce artificial rain, which yielded light to medium showers in some areas of the country.

The Meteorological Department at the National Centre of Meteorology and seismology (NCMS), used planes to sprinkle cloud seeding salts in moist clouds heading towards Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Al Ain, the Emirates news agency said.

Cloud seeding is a form of weather modification, used mostly to increase precipitation, by introducing particles into moist clouds.

The monitoring stations have already registered light to medium rainfalls in different areas of Abu Dhabi and Dubai, the agency said, adding the Centre is planning to repeat the tests tomorrow.”

We need these kind of experiments in Kuwait Instead of spending money on tiling every sandy area and changing the roads on every traffic intersection from asphalt to tiles. We should be spending the money on these kind of things instead.

Today was ANM’s birthday .. i decided to drag her into Mac world! just to let her know what it feeels like to be a mac owner! (poor windows users) so me & my wife decided to do a little surprise in this birthday ๐Ÿ˜› and my wife came with a brilliant idea!

Which is wrapping the macbook with a peace of fabric and on top of we put some paper shreds so that the macbook will be completely covered and not be seen, and then on top of that we put perfumes and bokhoor and mobkhar.

Here is the final look of the box when its opened .. No a single clue that the macbook is in the bottom! ๐Ÿ˜›

Now when it comes to wrapping i wont say anything just that simply my wife is a PROFITIONAL in gift wrapping.

HNM’s gift .. Also wrapped by my wife.

INM’s gift.. i think girls will know this where is this gift from and even what it is ๐Ÿ˜›

Now guys what do u think ANM’s reaction was after opening our gift?! well, she flashed a fake smile with a fake “wow”, thanked us and went ahead to open INM’s and HNM’s gifts with a Huge real WOWs! We also got her a sewing machine from sewing machine today. She absolutely loved it.

After that I suggested that they go get ready to have dinner in the Avenues (to let her really lose hope), before we went out of the door i told to her to take her stuff to her room and she said was like “Okay..”. and while she’s grabbing the perfumes i decided to help her out a bit.. so that i uncover the macbook by mistake ya3ni 3eshtaw bakoon chenaa madreeey!! ๐Ÿ˜› so i grabbed it and did it. and her reaction was priceless.. she SCREAMED! “A MACBOOK?!!!! For ME?! i knew it i knew it that the perfumes were not a real gift” then started crying! Laish madrey?!!! ๐Ÿ˜›

Anyway Happy birthday ANM and we wish u all the best ๐Ÿ˜›
