I went in and in less than 10 minutes I was done and on my way to my car. Going in the afternoon time is much better than in the early morning (I went early the last time and it was crowded).
I’m glad that I’m done with the voting. I hope more people turn up..
I was recommended this Spa by Ansam, and since I’m making it my duty to find the best massage place in Kuwait, I went.
The place isn’t hard to find at all, it’s in Salmiya, gulf road, the right after Divas restaurant then the third building on the left. It’s a men’s spa and SalonTouch Studio, haven’t tried one of those before. It isn’t big, the salon is upfront and the spa is in the back, however it is very nicely designed with a modern feel. The people working there and the reception was very nice and warm. Even when I asked about the possiblity of taking pictures they were all smiles and approved immediately (this isn’t the case most of the times with spas). Read the rest of this entry »
Just got an email from HNM‘s friend and i will let her say what she’s got to say from A-Z:
“One day in the Arts college-Kaifan (KUNIV), I was really starving for any bite of food. I saw this new thing called the Thai-something salad. The brown dressing looked fairly dreadful and I got woozy a little bit because of its highly unusual colour and odour; ”it was the most dreadful thing that could be eaten”, I thought, well, little did I know! I mean, I can understand a bug’s need to eat, and to eat healthy nonetheless, but why do we have to share the same salad dish?! Is it too much to ask for? Yes it is the truth; you can’t deny it; you can run from it, you can go and hide in Africa from it, but it’s not going anywhere: “THERE WAS A DEAD BUG IN MY SALAD!”.
It’s been awhile since Mcdonald’s had something new and interesting on their menu. I tried today the new chicken sandwich from, the chicken gourmet, and I liked it. It stood out when I took it home, along with other sandwiches, since it was the only one that looked fresh. You know how sandwiches tend to get soggy when you take em home, well not this one, maybe because of the new bun. Even the chicken’s crust remained crispy. They use a new sauce in it, mayo based i’m sure, but different. Tastes somewhat like caesar sauce.
Today ANM on her way to the university, she spotted a new branch of Oula gas stations in Mishref near the ACK, the design is somehow similar to those in Europe (with a Mini Market).
Got this via an email from our friend Ansam, and according to the email this guy, Bo Bader, promises to deliver the best mangos in Kuwait to your door, with no delivery fees.
The central bank of Kuwait announced to the local banks of Kuwait it’s approval on the new system of working hours, which is from 8am to 3:30pm with no breaks (samta wa7da), and no evening shift. However, the banks are allowed to have some of it’s branches open for an evening shift.
The new working hours will be applied in all of the local banks with no exception.
Yay for those who work at branches, woe for the rest of us.
Might be just a rumor circulating on emails, but Kuwait Airways are thinking of re-designing their look for their aircrafts. the one I liked is option #3 🙂
I should’ve posted this 3 days ago when my friend bo9ale7 first told me about this Diving center. My friend is totally obsessed with every thing adventurous, not that this thing is risky, well it is but thats beside the point. He took classes and started diving (Do you remember the Swimming with the sharks post?) and ever since all we hear is ‘Bo9ale7 na6ir ilsummer’ ‘bo9ale7 went to sharm alshaikh to dive in the red sea’. I think, and most of our friends also think that bo9ale7 was a mizligana in another life 😛
Anyway. So Bubbles diving center are offering scuba diving trips and training courses to whoever is interested. They’re qualified to train the beginners all the way to the instructors. They’ve begun registering students for the diving courses and the first of their courses will start on the 3rd of May.
For more information call 24835228 or 99989020/30. You can also check out their forum at Bubbles Diving.
I’ve been hearing about this spa for a long time from friends, and as I was telling my friends this weekend that I needed a massage and that I probably will go to The Day Spa, which is my favorite massage place in all O the land, my friend Ban1 told me, for the 10th time, that I should consider going to the one in crown plaza hotel. He said that it is the best place in Kuwait. So, as a massage fan and more importantly as a blogger looking for good material for you readers, I went to Aquatonic Spa and took my camera with me. Magic Planet just opened in the Avenues phase II. There are arcades section, a couple of rides, bowling isles, billiard tables, wall climbing “in a shape of palm trees”, many booths and stuff.
The place is big and spacious, but according to my friend, it’s a bit too spacious (empty) and it feels like they’re going to fill it with more rides and stuff.
