I never knew Bahrain had started a low cost airlines. Their fleet consists of 2 airplanes, a boeing 737 and an airbus A320.
“Bahrain Air, the first privately owned Premium Low Priced Carrier (PLPC), started operations on 3rd. February 2008 using modern Airbus “A320″ fleet, operates from Bahrain to Alexandria, Amman, Beirut, Damascus, Doha, Dubai, Kuwait and Mashad. By April 2008 the destinations will be extended to include Dhaka in Bangladesh”
Currently there are no routes to Kuwait. but there will be in the future.
Do you know that in the past 5 years 5 new airlines started their operations in the gulf region alone?
In 2003, Air Arabia & Etihad Airways. Jazeera Airways in 2005 And in 2007 Bahrain Air. And I think somewhere in 2008 we will get Alwataniya Airways. Its getting a bit too competitive. (7i6 7ailhom bainhom)
Thanks INM.
BahrainAir
Update:
Apparently there are more and more carriers popping up every day π Mr. Solutions told us in his comment that Dubai has just annouced their own verion of low cost carriers! read more about it Here.

Le Pain Quotidien, to many its just another cafe, But to me, its the home of my favorite egg benedict! π Whenever I’m in the mood for a good breakfast and I happen to be able to get up in time, I go there and have one of the best breakfasts in Kuwait.
Last thursday was a great day for having breakfasts outdoors. We went to Le Pain Quotidien, Marina Crescent’s Branch. The weather was amazing, The weekend was starting early & I was really craving PQ! and the food was outstanding! as usual.
Omelette With Kashkawan Cheese
Egg Benedict
Waffles
One thing was off that day, their service. they were not organized and very.. disoriented? The waiters were not concentrating even when taking our orders! they’re always attentive and very professional but for some reason they weren’t that day.

The project is located at the northern part of Kuwait on Khour Al Subiyah overlooking the Bubiyan Island.
The beach front extends to about 500 meters and is regarded as a shallow water area with a high percentage of deposits due to its proximity to the Shatt Al-Arab Delta.
The resort components are a hotel with 100 double-rooms, a resort with 63 chalets, various cafes and restaurants, a Spa health club and marina complex for servicing private and rental boats of sea-bound visitors.
Developer: KAMCO
Thank youΒ Ali.

Today me, Ali and Abdullah were going for dinner at Ruby Tuesday. Just before we were there Ali noticed this new building which, at first, he thought was an Indian restaurant called Muhraja Palace.
This Restaurant is circle shaped and divided into two sections, 2 half circles, One is Fish Market (not related to the one near Marina Mall, and the other is Fusion.
Fish Market is a sea food restaurant and Fusion i think is either Japanese or Chinese. Both restaurants are owned by Americana. Both are going to be officially open in 15 days.
As you can see, the decoration must’ve costed them a small fortune! no i take it back, i think it costed them a HUGE fortune! You can see there are a fish tanks all over the place.
Here is the entrance for both restaurants.
Here is a part of Fish market restaurant. As you can see there are a lot of fish tanks. I think they’re there so u can choose the fish you’d like to eat and they cook it for you.
Thank You Abdullah for letting me use your mobile camera and thanks Ali for asking the employees all these quesion, which proved to be very helpful to this post π

I like t when it comes to competition. This is yet another site that share the same concept as 6alabat.com. But this one is exclusive to Crown Plaza and Holiday Inn’s restaurants.
From the site:
ieatonline.com is an online site which is operated by Crowne Plaza Kuwait. ieatonline.com is easy to remember & you can order online from the detailed menus of the international cuisines without visiting or calling to your favourite restaurant. Now you can enjoy the food in your home with your family & friends.
The delivery fees are 400 fils/order. 6alabat.com fees are 200 fils/order. I think they should reconsider their pricing.
HERE is their link.

I just got off the phone with NBK. they cancelled my Visa card coz “I have no stable source of income.” I don’t blame them, its the central bank’s rules (i used the word central twice in one day.. Yipppeee!). Anway, I began thinking of all the lovely times i spent with my credit card.. when it hit me!! I have money in there! a week or so ago i wanted to buy my laptop off apple.com so I went and put 800 kd in my credit card. and now its cancelled! Grrr
The guy from NBK put me on hold for a total time of 10 minutes and finally came back to tell me that I should go to my branch, take a credit card statement then go to NBK’s main branch, give them the statement and ask for a refund “it should take around 3 days from the day you ask for the refund.” And i should do all that on sunday coz they’re closed for the holiday today & the whole weekend.
I’m hating NBK at the moment.

My mother woke me up around 11:30 and gave me a red piece of paper with some weird words scribbled down on it. as i looked harder, squeezing all of my eye powers just to focus on this little paper, i read managed to read words like: delivered, postal service, my name..
I didn’t get it, i was half asleep so i can’t be blamed. but then Mom said “I think its concerning your laptop.” thats when i got fully awake! my laptop is here!!! turned out no, its not here. the ministry of whatever just sent me a notice to come and pick my laptop “or it will be returned to it’s source after 10 days.”
I sprung to my feet, went downstairs and asked our cook, i wanted more info. he said that a guy came, gave him this piece of paper and told him “let Yousef come see us and collect his package after 5 days.” HA! 5 days?! ILWAISH?!
I barely brushed my teeth and went to Kifan Central. after struggling to find the right counter, i finally managed to get my laptop just 1.5 minutes before their closing time. The guy asked me why did i bother come in such a hurry? I said “i paid a lot to get it in time and i didn’t want to waste the weekend with “what ifs” thoughts).
I didn’t pay a single dime for tax π (and that my friends, made my week!).

Apparently there is a site dedicated to bathrooms all around the world (no joke). You can check all the bathrooms in your country incase you decided to go when you’re out and far away from home equipped with the bathroom shower panels and other fancy things.
Also, we recommend taking a look at these custom frameless shower screens you can ask this company to help you install and make your house look more elegant.
Currently in Kuwait there are only 3 bathrooms listed. If you know anymore public toilets, you can go ahead and add them (good karma people!) π
From the Site
The Bathroom Diaries is the world’s largest database of restroom locations. Its The largest enterprise of its kind in the world, The Bathroom Diaries was founded and is operated by Mary Ann Racin, an entrepreneur whose professional background is in art, education and international finance. Racin and The Bathroom Diaries have appeared on CNN, the BBC, USA Today and The Washington Post. TechTV has called the website, βthe best idea ever.β

It was just another day in one of Kuwait’s busiest hospitals. A woman came in with her 12 year old kid to see the Doctor. The kid’s been sick for 4 days the woman explained. She went on to say that He suffers from headache, Fever, Dizzy, Vomits a lot and has photophobia (can’t tolerate bright light).
The Doctor knew these symptoms, they were the symptoms of meningitis (sa7aya). He knew that the kid should remain in the hospital for further testings immediately.
Doctor: Look, I think your kid is suffering from meningitis. its a very serious disease and he should remain in the hospital so we can do some testings to identify, confirm and start treating the disease.
Mother: aha.. ok we’ll pass by tomorrow.
The Doctor got puzzled with the Mother’s cold reaction. He thought if he took her to another room, sat her down and talked to her enough, she might realize the magnitude of her child’s disease. So he did.
Doctor: You don’t understand. This is serious. We need to take blood samples, do lumbar puncture to extract some spinal fluids.. we’re also going to give him antibiotics through intravenous drip.
Mother: But maybe this is just an allergy and nothing serious.. we have a cat in the house and maybe.. you know..
Doctor: Are you listening to what I’m saying at all? I’m telling you this is not as simple as you might be thinking! He might suffer from several disabilities! He might get paralyzed! or even go into a comma before you know it! Not to mention that its contagious. You’re risking other people’s lives if you don’t let us begin treating him NOW. you’re risking too much, he actually might die!
The Mother looked at her kid
Kid: But Mom you promised me a breakfast in Marina Mall tomorrow!!!
Mother: Doctor, I can’t leave him today, we have a breakfast planned for tomorrow’s morning.. You know what, We might come back tomorrow in the afternoon π
The Doctor lost it
Doctor: Are you stupid? You must be stupid! Slow maybe?? I’m telling you your kid might die!!
Mother got offended and defensive.
Doctor: OK I don’t care! *bi6agag isheelkom* But I won’t be held responsible if anything happens to your kid because of your stupid and careless actions! you’ll sign a form right now stating that you went against the doctor’s orders..
The Mother without any hesitation signed the form, took her kid and went back home.

A few days ago I got a letter from Oula Fuel Marketing Company thanking me for my posts regarding their new machines and their mini mobile shops.
Thanks for the nice gesture. π
I love it when I see new promising companies in Kuwait. Finally we have companies that actually care for their customers and go out of their ways and look into blogs just to see how we’re reacting to their new services! I mean, Thats awesome isn’t it?
Oh, but, don’t get me wrong, I do think the Oula company is great and all, but I still think it needs lots of work to reach its full potential. We’re still waiting for mini markets/stores/groceries, just like the ones in Dubai (in Emirates stations to be specific π )
I love Kuwait and I love seeing us breaking the mold and trying to catch up. Inshallah We’re going to get there one day.
P.S. if anyone from Oula and reading this, Can we know more about your future plans?

This post will be dedicated to girls and married girls may be more interested. Today my wife ordered a collection of perfumes designed especially for bed covers and linens.
The cool part of this is, you can choose any favorite perfume you like such as M7, Coco Chanel, Stella, Cinema..ect. and transfer it to these kind of perfumes.
They have a long list of famous perfumes you can choose from. They even make a high-concentration perfumes “Eau de parfum“, even body lotions, if you wish.
My wife let me smell them and esara7a they were like the REAL ones! and when it comes to the price, I think they’re very reasonably priced, each one will cost you KD1.5 and there will be an extra KD2 for delivery.
Finally if you wish to order just call 6618520.
